Ollllllo here - this little puzzle that develops around the free world of a few trying , well , controlling the flow of information is something we better get used to - I'm afraid for some, like me, that will have to kiss the internet good bye at one point or another. For the rest it will be a big game of cat & mouse & a set of a minimum of skills to really navigate the web freely - it is already a struggle for some countries where there is mandatory Internet identification policy already in place And as a big 1st world example go no further than Australia, where there's already a good amount of censorship all over the place For me the small signal that the internet is going to get more & more restrictive began when for many things you have to provide a mobile phone #- then came the Kill switch proposals - & now this SOPA attempt Internet freedom & privacy is an illusion, but so far our generations have been allowed to use it relatively freely to pass it on to our children & grandchildren as something that its (to some ) a necessity - the next generations of kids will have Less internet freedom & probably even Child ID's to be allowed to even log on - http://www.eluniversal.com.mx/nacion/183029.html (somewhat related) So in effect they will not Know better, and most information they will find will just be what the powers that be deem appropriate - So my guess is that the ONLY force that can counter this in countries that are capable - is an internet that is created & run by citizens with their own means, or just go back to old means of communication and information sharing.... - it will be hairy- But hopefully there is really really smart good people out there that can find a solution to this Oldyz is on the roof- training carrier pigeons |

- are just the preparations - While I'm hoping for a massive movement by the citizens of the first world, i'm also weary because the very nature of movements like occupy facilitate the infiltration of paramilitary punks. Olllllllllooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo........ this topic is close to home because i have been trying to replicate a universe i know courtesy of Μορφεύς in this particular one there is not much difference from our own & the tiny thing that sets it apart as far as i Know is the existence, expansion & evolution of the N64 video game Goldeneye & it's spiritual cousin Perfect Dark - All fps titles in this place are played better & controllers are different - there is also a supreme shooter game that settles a lot of unanswered questions & comparisons that many make today...... it is this glimpse in to this weird place that lead me to be so dissapointed with today's videogames and their systems with their crummy controller schemes, the half assed PD adaptation & the failure to adapt GE to the Xbox 360. I wrote about some of the things i saw & added some of my own things to it at the Xbox forums where i had the only official on-line existence . of course i did not share everything for 2 reasons - Vgames are - unfortunately for many - a very effective medium to spread propaganda, brainwash & control people - In the case of 1st person shooters , in this world I'm glad they are not as great & fun as they should be - but yet - crummy shooters like call of duty still do their job very effectively, and the effects of making war feel "cool" are evident in the wikileaked video: <object width="420" height="315"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5rXPrfnU3G0?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> Where you hear the whinny kid begging to use the Heli's weapons against the people on the ground....... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I ignore if the dreamscape where i saw this great shooters had this very same wars with even more trigger happy kid-soldiers begging to discharge their weapons.... I like shooters, but curiously enough dislike guns i like to see cool guns , but only within the virtual realm unfortuantely the virtual realm is a tool to train for the real world. & the better the tool the more damage it can cause. how many Vgame players that like shooters like guns? i'm guessing a lot more than those who prefer to limit the lead to electronic Funtimes ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Oldyz is at work watching over the lunches of the peoples |

it's me guess that the second post can be better - still , the First post does not seem an easy thing to respond - even tho the title says 'Our universe V/S fantasy universes' OP is not really specific that we have to discuss exclusively about Known works..... I responded with something i deal with, from time to time --- It is perhaps better if i had responded with --- say - an universe where Leonardo Davinci's works are 90%+ intact and well known - and by 90% intact i mean almost all of his works where preserved - NONE destroyed - (because in this universe, only a fraction of his stuff is known thanx to unfortunate circumstances) & then let OP and the rest share your thoughts on it - Or even better ,just ignore my abominable post2 and try to respond to the topic in the correct way - (with such example i might be able to fix & make the second post make sense then) Oldyz is at work ticking the tock |

well me bouncy feline, i'm very open to suggestions... i will leave the choice of background & else to Oldyz and his own content, but as for me own posts i have to use this blasted tactic - Also , i like the gray background because it is the color the default thingy that my original turfs where like.... the previous post had some kind of mess with the blue tone & hopefully i will be like an a animal & not fall for for the same trap. As for the color of the font, I personally like red, but i know for a fact that red makes eyes even more uneasy, I dislike white because it reminds me of the KKK, green seems kind of booger mean, additionally brown is less than chocolaty & makes me frown - Black is too much too serious & solemn for my tone of thoughts, and thus as much as i dislike to use the current hues, it at least reminds me of that pup that sniffs the clues....... Finalmente me doy un tiempo para escribir - me da flojera hacerlo en mi ingles malecho asi que les pongo en español - Lo siento por mi espantoso secretario Olllo pero pues el menso con sus mensas reglas, "claves" y "filtros" nomas asi se quiere comunicar - Ahora con lo del ACTA PIPA y todo lo demas - Espero que participen en el mentado Marzo Negro, desgraciadamente creo que eso no sera suficiente, y espero que no sea demasiado tarde - este sunto de la firma del ACTA tiene que ser combatido en Estados Unidos - aca en Mexico si se sabe del asunto y pasa en los periodicos , desgraciadamente los politicos de aca tiene su precio y no se les puede pedi cuentas. En estados unidos tiene ustedes la ventaja de que si hacen algo de caso y tambien supe que los actos en su version canadiense se estan difundiendo en forma publica - El momento de actuar , en mi opinion, era hace un año, o un poco mas atras cuando fueron dados a conocer detalles de ACTA por Wikileaks - desgraciadamente parece que no todo mundo le puso atencion, por que despues de un rato nadie le tomaba mucha seriedad a lo sacado en Wikileaks - aca por lo pronto le paso la voz a todos los que puedo, al menos a alguien se le debe de ocurrir algo mejor.
