Hello,
first - excuse my poor english in case i do some writing the wrong way.

Second I'm wannabe n64 hacker, and my skill with numbers math and stuff is pretty bad, but with help of the other 3 we managed to do this goofy demo to help OlllO
make a point about perfect dark ,for the forum about the xbla version in the microsoft forums.
if you want ot see here is the HD link for it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEue1pJhyRs&hd=1

OK then-
The help we need is for somebody to please make an editor for the wrestling game
wrestlemania 2000

we made about 200+ created characters from lucha libre, movies, religion, comics, pop music, other games ,etc.for this game and it is a shame that none cannot be made the default characters.

if they where default, the single player mode would be very hard to beat, and very crazy, and royal rumble mode would be a blast.

created characters have more moves and combos than the default characters of the game.

what we want to be able to do is just to edit moves and attributes of the default characters, get the chance to make a rom patch out of that, and patch the rom with the modifications.

or better, have all characters in the ROm behave like the create-a-wrestler types
(default characters are brown, greys are completely editable)

later on maybe even expand the rom to hold more than 80 characters.

so any of you who has the skill, please post reply

if the person who made the mario editor is reading this, please tell if it is possible.

^^^
Thanks- maybe i do not make sense

by obseving what can be done with the goldeneye editor and the mario editor, i think making an editor to just change the moves is not so hard.
of course i can not do it currently because i never studied programs and math is bad to me.
i dont want to tinker with objects or the ring or anything, just attributes, maybe hidden attributes that control the ai 9you can see those with gameshar code) and the movesets.

there is a "mod" of wwf no mercy i can't find that is called "tna vs roh"
that was made by replacing moves through gameshark codes and a gameshark code generator just for that game.
the problem is that replacing the the moves of an in game character that way messes up the gameplay some.
i think it only applies to the current character you are using and nnot when the character is controlled by the machine.

so if you are in a royal rumble match, when michael jackson comes out, it is not the michael jackson you tried to modify , but the just an MJ shell with "the rock" moves.

by patching the game the MJ the machine or you or all 4 players use is the "real deal" with his dancing taunts, flying moves , 4 finishers, etc etc.

Well, my hope is that someone tries to do it.
The only help i can offer is with testing the thing.

Please if any of you in this forum knows of a place where they tried or care about those games let me know.

i find that is weird those games did not get hacking beyond gameshak codes,
they are good multiplayer games and they do not depend on the analogue joystick being a 100%
like goldeneye, mario kart or perfect dark.

then again as of now i do not know of ROM editors for smash bros. for the n64.

^^
thanks!

i recently discovered the vpw "junk" site in this last few days.
NO mercy zone i did not check in while , its been about 7 times that we have tried to become members, and i thought the sites looked dead.
i guess will keep trying.
My issue with no mercy is that quick matches are not possible, and the lag, but other than that overall it is superior game, the only reason we did not make characters for it its because the blasted bug it has

AJ 187, since we have as of now no way of telling them at the no mercy zone, in case no one has , please tell them about possible making an editor to patch the game.

Hello -

1-Because having not enough time and some desperation i did not introduce myself.
i first came to this place for the reason that we wanted to contact VL-Tone, or see if anyone was interested for the creation of an editor for another game

2- i recently discovered Mario 64 rom patches, and want to thank VL-Tone for all his work in making the editor
and the authors of the patches for their work.
My nephews enjoy these very much
Again thank you for expanding the Mario 64 game.

3- There is not much i can offer for Mario 64 hacking, just ideas or drawings with some concept thing but no more.

4- I sent a Private Message to VL-Tone with a request , i'm not sure if he got it.
it is related to this thread -->http://jul.rustedlogic.net/thread.php?id=8110
and i apologize in advance, i know hacker culture is more about everyman for themselves, but i really have no hope
of learning hacking beyond simple game-shark coding.
bad machines, poverty, lack of time and skill work against us and just because we imagine things does not mean we are smart enough (me , fumbles, Ollo and Capitan Canada)

Hey people
Some of you might be happy that Perfect is coming to the xbox 360
but others, friends and me do not feel that the 360 version is going to be good.
it looks like it could have more things.

and the controls have only 3 ways, no custom made button configuration.

A friend at the xbox forums for some time has made a topics about things that could be better, but it seems we will get the same game with no extra multiplayer levels or levels from the bond game.

we think the only way the game will have all the potential extras is if it comes out in windows, so the fans like you game editors can alter it easier.

here is the link to a facebook petition and take the time to read how this started.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Perfect-Dark-Games-for-Window-Games-on-Demand/255576629476

here is the letter that was sent to the person who asked

http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=255576629476&topic=13585

and here the potential features for a pc version

about the broken controllers - you can buy replacement box units for them
the whole thing and all you have to do is open the n64 controller and plug in the new unit.

another way is making metal parts of the insides.
we have some, but they are not 100 exact proportion and we don't know if they will cause a long term effect to the electronics inside.
the oldest is about 8 years old now , so we guess its fine.

Also , make sure to tell your friends about the petition, or see if the word can be spread in other ways so the game can come out in the PC.

Ok since i see that youtube videos can be put here
i will share our simple Perfect Dark hack Olllo and me made:

i hope gameshark hackings counts here too.

this story is , that OlllO wanted to make a point about Call of Duty style aiming, and how it was really nothing but a graphic thing.....
we got lucky and found a way to make it happen and made the video.
put it in freeze for a while and so it plays with no stops.

Forgot to post and share the thing:

Go to
http://www.shootersforever.com/forums_message_boards/viewtopic.php?t=4293

you all will find instructions you need to make the gun work.

best is to use a dual analogue control sticks, and map the aiming buttons to the right bumpers or bumper and button of your choice.

since oll0 and me are in a bit of a sad an uncertain time we did not done all weapons but at least 4 are for disposition.
our intention is to do all eventually once best machine is again available.

yes we asked other members at shooters if it could be
done and refined throught the editor
but it seems that the editor can't do gameshark -like modifications on the rom

, and the bad part is that the codes are best just for the single player mission
once the codes are active -
the multiplayer is very messy because activating the new position of the gun
affects all 4 gun positions

the good machine died on us and PJ 64 is slow on the new one
so it has been pretty annoying to try and do the rest of the guns.

to complicate things more Ñ wants to introduce all the new weapon hacks in new videos
with more weird things going on, so we agreed but haven't had the chance to actually do them........

Posted on 06-23-10 03:45:31 PM, in Mario 64 Mario cam editing? Link

Hey paisanos

i was wondering if the "mario perspective"
(the closest camera angle)
can be modified using any of the editors,
so the camera actually stays mostly on top of mario's body

transforming it in to a first person perspective camera.

i beat the entire game in mario cam mode 2 times
with all 120 stars and even the wall jumps and all
i always wanted to have a true first person perspective
for the game

so i wonder if any of the editors can modify how the "mario cam" behaves and instad of very closelly following the body to actually be on top of the body.....

i hope this is possible , instead of uploading video of my 3rd attempt of beating the game in mario cam, instead do a video of the game played entirely in 1st person......

i will see how much i can understand of this program

the way i understand it is that since those new button functions
(secondary and tertiary aiming) are created using gameshark activation codes
they cannot be injected in to the rom itself
also they depend on making a custom mapping of the buttons too
using the emulator
for example i need the L button to do nothing -because the gameshark uses L for changing the gun position to secondary aim.

still if i understand the program in the link i will see what it does.
thank you

"Zero one: The camera is hard-coded and can't be changed. At least, that's what I'm lead to believe."

this video shows something that would do nicely , the only bad thing is
1- the black targetting circle is never gone
2- does not work for the entire game levels

3 - if it where possible to do i would modify the game like this:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

And then people can play mario 64 in 1st person- like perspective
remember the mario cam does not move around like his head does but it does follow very close

the invisiblity cap turns him transparent although it seems that whatever
makes this happen affects his whole body too....

ahh youtube works today !

found a headless mario hack , but its for the DS......

the head needs to be moved to around his buttocks area though

Hectamatatortron

I was wondering if you could hack jet force to have 2 screens for the same character.
1 player mode -

it does not matter how the screens are split , the tricky thing is for the second screen---
it has to render everything a few centimiters different to the left or right, so the effect is that one camera is the left camera
and other camera is the right camera -

the result looks sort of like this:
(with movement and all of course)

If this hack is made - we get Jet Force geminy 3D - if used in a samsung or sony tv on one of the 3d modes - (upconverted trough a dvd recorder or similar)

that or what can also be done is record the footage of the 2 screens - split it with a video editor an upload it to youtube for everyone to see Jet force in various 3D modes.

Here is the link of the same Stairs pic with the 3d enabled
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfZvAbTi3NI

This idea can also work for other split screen games , but for now it seems that you have
very good mastery of Jet Force.

mm

the clues sound good , it think i will search more -
math is not friendly to me but not impossible.

now about those other split screen games -
the thing is since 2001 me and friends bugged nintendo for awhile about "reviving" the virtual boy -
we thought that the N64 was capable of making stereo graphics by exploiting the split screens.
then if people would plug in some head set or something they could enjoy some games in 3d mode -

Now that youtube has the ability to share 3d videos, a nice thing for those that have no 3d tv (like me)
is to capture games in stereo mode and then upload them there.

the easy way costs more- to have a 3d stereo graphics card and then capture the emulation footage.

the hard way is hacking the split screen games - but this way anyone can play the game capture it and share it.
and it should work withe the original N64

Other is making an emulator plugin that renders 2 windows (one with different camera values that the emulator plugin forces)

well here is a list of N64 split screen games that should work in 3d by modding the split screen

Star fox 64
Donkey Kong 64
Mario Kart 64
Perfect Dark
Jet Force
Ridge Racer
Goldeneye
Diddy Kong Racing
Banjo tooie
Conker's Bad fur day
Turok 2 & 3
Quake 2
Quake
Duke Nukem 64

there are some more but this is all i remember for now.

I hope looking for the jet force values is not harder than looking for the gameshark values of perfec dark stuff....

i think this would be a topic ,but i don't know if its ok since i see that the formum is more about
showing off finished results or work that is in progression.

sorry if it made this go off topic.

Ollllo here:

Since Oldyz has given me access to this forum for upcoming things we have been cooking,
(& since he got tired of not making sense with even more broken english than mine)

i have decided to share my Mexica thoughts on this matter as a debut of my temporary presence here:

That law is an imminent thing that will come to pass in one form or another:

Down here the mexichaf president has a similar trick, and in fact now days most mexicano prisons operate with lots of people jailed for indefinite amounts of time with no trial or due process.

US is destined to become like its rotten apple neighbor to the south, bit by bit.
& some of your dear leaders are trying to make the us "competitive' to china by virtually getting you used to OR "acclimatizing" the US citizens to a more "realistic" way of life -
(that means getting the american peoples to struggle just like the chinese people do)

Down here people's opinions of our leaders has been low for 40+ years,
you guys are just catching up.

It is a deliberate plan tho, to make hopelessness a daily part of your lives,
it is why the only thing you can do is make your neighbor's & friends life easier & protest & speak truth every chance you get -
And also for those of you that can, try to do things in an alternative way, not to benefit the hordes of bastardos that are making profits out of everything under the sun....
