PSP Go price cut to $200. Still too expensive, but at least not $100 overpriced, just $50 now.

I now have an unlimited data plan with my iPhone instead of a 2GB monthly cap. Schwing!

Hey, at least I did something for her 20k bonanza There should be an Anya scheme. Though I'm not sure what would be in it. Kittens and video games to the very least.

Listening to and occasionally watching out of the corner of my eye:

The Matrix - Revolutions

Most people hate on 2 and 3 but I like them.

Lego 3D printer itching to make Lego robots

This is just so awesome, you have no idea. First, square block formations, next... a Lego bot army!!! Muahaha.

In all seriousness, this is quite awesome. Its a printer built from Legos that can build rudimentary 3D structures from Lego blocks.

I really don't care what George does at this point. The only thing I haven't been involved in is the Clone Wars saga on CN. I could not get in to them. And besides not playing some of the games. But I've read just about every book (I need to catch up since I've recently been reading Feist) and I still love all 6 movies. The originals are the heart and soul but the new 3 brought in a whole new generation and I'm hoping thats what the 3D re-releases do in 2012.

From the post at Gizmodo it says that it won't be about the Skywalkers. We'll probably get a new family to follow that is somehow tied to one of the other EU characters, such as Kyle Katarn or Corran Horn. That would be fine, as long as it somehow ties in other famous EU persona.

I haven't done this for years, either. So don't sweat it No clue where I'm going with it right now, but I'm developing a little bit of a plot as I typed out the last one. Now I may have to do something with ffalexandria.com after all

Clear Pepsi and the blue Diet Mountain Dew (I can't remember the name). I really liked that stuff, I wish it would have persisted instead of ending last year. It was the only other flavor for diet besides Code Red. Thank God that's still around.

Wal-Mart has had Christmas stuff out about as long as they've had Halloween stuff out, but only a small section. Next week it will grow exponentially like the plague.

These are the decorations that parents keep forever. My mother must have at least 4 or 5 things of mine that I made when I was a kid. A Christmas card, an ornament I made in school, etc, etc. You could offer to give their house a Home Makeover: Christmas Edition with a $50,000 budget if they just give those things up, but they would never even consider it.

So it looks like I will be dressing up after all this year. We got my older son a Darth Vader costume and my younger son will be using the Yoda outfit from last year.

Posted on 10-26-10 10:30:02 AM, in The internet is broken! (last edited by Orlandu at 10-26-10 10:30 AM) Link
Cox cable used to be horrible during peak times. Back in the I1 era, any time during 5pm to about 8pm it would slow to a crawl. My typical download speeds would be 200-300 kbps, but during this time frame they would slow to 40-50 kbps. This was also back in the Napster days so I remember vividly the actual download speeds.

I remember at New Horizons (where my father worked and I played on computers all day) they had a T1 connection and I would see download speeds of up to 1.5mbps when downloading from certain sites like Microsoft.

Nowadays, Cox is pretty reliable. We had an issue earlier this year where our signal strength took a shit. The digital cable channels would stutter and freeze randomly about once or twice a minute. They tried a signal booster which helped a little but screwed up our internet service so they had to split the cable modem off the booster and have it separate, they said that the cable modem doesn't use the same signal so it didn't need to be boosted. Since then, everything has been fine.

Las Vegas is the land of custom plates. We have to have a record of custom license plates per capita or something. You can't go a block down the road without someone having one. Anything from football and sports to personal love messages and stupid stuff you can't understand. My father-in-law's plates used to be IXCAV8, meaing "I excavate" since he works for... you guessed it: An excavation company. Before we were married, my mother-in-law's plate was "CODENIC" meaning Codee & Nicole, her 2 daughters.

As far as actual cars, there are loads of junkers turned ricers around here. Unpainted body kits, ugly spoilers, custom import styled tail lights on American cars. I once saw a Hyundai Elantra with a Cadillac logo where the Hyundai H should have been... thats a /facepalm right there.

I never really feel the effects from sugar or caffeine. I guess because I'm larger (aka chunky) and have more room for t to spread out. I feel the effects of not enough caffeine though, I get a headache if I don't have any before noon or so.

53 degrees outside... it was just triple digits last week! Not that I'm complaining, I prefer the cold... I had to turn my car heater on this morning though because I wasn't expecting the cold and didn't wear a coat.
