Well, I have it up but its pretty slow. I'm not sure why it takes so long to load so I'll have to check around and see if I can make it work faster. I may be coding it the hard way which is making it not parse quickly.



I think it's because I was using imagecopymerge instead of just imagecopy.

Edit2: nope.
Edit3: Imagecopyresampled was even slower
Edit4: Using a ping24 with alpha was slowing it down some, but even overlaying the php image over the png file didn't make it much faster
Edit5: Ok, now it loads fast but it comes in blurry for a split second then materializes. Have to figure that out next. Maybe thats from the png24 alpha transparency?

Ok so as you can see I got it working... But I'm not happy with it. I'm going to have to refine it tonight. I think I'm going to leave the information at the top and just have it use the font feature, not the whole card.

My first use was actually our own at home. My dad bought a new IBM 486 computer and we played CD rom games on it. I only got to play the kiddy ones like the 3D museum and use the encyclopedia (I was 8 or 9 at the time). My brother got to play Duke Nukem 3D with his friends but they wouldn't even let me watch. But it wasn't long after that when I was allowed to play Quake 2 so it all ended up alright.

Sorry I haven't been in the best of moods lately, I'm still depressed about many things at the moment, most of which are problems with the people on SL and they have sucked the happiness right out of me just like the dementors in the Harry Potter series do/did to their victims. Never played Second Life, but if its as addicting as World of Warcraft is then I can understand a little of what you're going through. Just take a break from it for a while. Uninstall it from your computer so you can't just start it up as soon as you get on. Read some books, find a TV show to watch, do something else for a week or 2 and then see where you're. If you want to get right back in, then find some new friends and do something different after you reinstall it.

I was absent this weekend because of 2 things:

1 - had to clean all afternoon on sunday after we got home from church.
2 - Was at the drag races most of the day saturday! had nitro in my lungs and burnt rubber on my skin, its so much fun! After being in the sun 1/3 of the day, we went home and jumped in the cold swimming pool and then camped out the rest of the night in the living room playing video games.

Overall, a simple and clean layout. I like the colors and they're easy on the eyes. It's pretty vivid on my LCD monitor, but I probably have my color settings a little brighter than usual.

You may have mentioned it but I didn't catch it. But thats good. Now just find something else to keep yourself occupied. I've come to realize that everyone will have something they focus on, whether its a video game, work, a person, their kids, or whatever else their hobby is. We may all do 100 things in a week, but theres 1 thing we do more than everything else. So just find something else for that 1 thing to take your mind off everything that happened before.

I'm a Report Specialist for an insurance company. I make numbers in to pretty forms in excel and send them to people. Not a bad gig, good pay and good insurance. Its needed when you have 2 little ones around the house.
