Hey guys, I stumbled on this board after searching for my old domain on google. I came upon Anya... err, Next-Jen's MotM thread with Colin and saw she mentioned FFAlexandria. I'm curious if any others are here from our old hang out spot. I went to the ACMLM board on and off for the past few years, but haven't kept up with anyone.
Anywho, just thought I'd drop in and say hi to those that remember me. And to those that don't, hello for the first time!
Just a bit of an update over the past 6-7 years... Moved around a few more times, settled back in Las Vegas, got a good job, got hitched, had a baby and now have another one on the way. So whats up with you guys?
I could be the spokes person for those Nationwide commercials, "Life comes at you fast". It seems that way now, but while its all happening it doesn't seem so fast. It wasn't my idea, my dad and my brother's mother-in-law set me up on a date (which was actually prom for her) and next thing you know we got married (it was actually a year apart). Then about a year later she was pregnant with our first. He's 1 year old now, and 2nd one is due end of March. So its all spread out over a few years.
I've been trying to get www.ffalexandria.com back over the past few years. I had it on "back-order" through godaddy.com but could never get it. Its owned by some spam company now that makes bogus link sites to earn income. Godaddy no longer does back orders (was $19.99) but now they offer a domain negotiation which is $69.99 for the service and they attempt to negotiate a purchase price from whoever owns the domain. So you have to pay that price on top of Godaddy's fee, plus their commission. But ffalexandria.net is available, was thinking about getting that. I still have all the old script from the forums with the item shop and my rudimentary battle hack. It'd be fun to try to get that working again, I've learned more about programming since then so I could probably do a better job of it.

Thanks all for the welcome. I'll work on a custom post layout soon. Haven't made one of those in a long time. Its a feature exclusive on ACMLM boards from what I've seen. Or at least it never caught on with other boards.

Yeah its me. Been in Vegas on and off for the past 11 years. We tried moving away a few times but we always returned. I work for an health insurance company, doing data analytics.

My wife and I play on the Elune Server, horde. I've been playing since launch in 2004, she started a few months after we got married in 2007. She has an 80 mage currently as her main, I have an 80 death knight. She also has a 80 druid, and I have an 80 paladin. We recently switched our mains to the horde to try out something different. She'd been wanting to for some time. Here is a pic of my DK:
I don't have the violet proto drake yet because we took a break for a few months after my son was born and I forgot to log on for the holidays I do have a blue proto drake after killing Skaadi 43 times (can only kill him once a day, so yes, 43 nearly consecutive days of killing him). My paladin was my main up until WotLK, then I made a DK and stuck with him ever since. Got my paladin to 80 after 3.3 but haven't done much with him other than decking him out in ICC5 and emblem gear.
I'm not a fan of narratives from the main character. Too many me, my, I, etc.
That being said, I enjoyed the story line overall. It seems to be a little fast paced, but thats how most short stories are. They don't leave much room to expand. It has a heart warming ending, and makes you feel emotional. Reminded me a little of the ending from "Marley and Me."
I would give it a B+, mostly because I don't like the style but the story is ok.

In case it wasn't noted yet, I live there as well... though more in Henderson
We live up north, Cheyenne and 95 area. Not quite Summerlin but close. My parents are also down near Henderson, just off the 215 and Warm Springs. I prefer this side of town but Henderson is nice too.
Its not so bad here. The heat can be pretty difficult at times, but I'll take heat over natural disasters. In Oklahoma we had tornadoes, Michigan we had lake effect snow, and it Florida we had 3 hurricanes in 1 year! So I'll deal with living in an oven.
I married into a Hawaiian family. If I miss a meal during the day then there's something wrong with me. I have to eat breakfast or else I feel tired and groggy all morning.
My wife doesn't usually eat breakfast thought. Half of the time its because she's pregnant (at least for the past 7 months anyway) and the other half is because she sleep's in till 9 or 10am sometimes.
I'm actually excited about this movie, mainly because it has Liam Neeson. Anything with him in it is good. I can do without Mr. T anyway. Remakes are the in thing this decade and they have mostly been good the past few years. So I'm looking forward to it.
