It's been so long since I've played Wind Waker that I'm looking forward to it experiencing it again.

For those of you who haven't been following the Smash Bros. Daily Screenshots, today's screenshot reveals that one of the stages is based on the original Pilotwings. (Which I have never played.)

Today I got really lucky and found two new fossils in one day, so now I only am missing two fossils!

Coincidentally, those two are Tricera Tail and Sabertooth Skull.

Edit: Scratch that, found a Tricera Tail this morning.

The latest Nintendo Direct just finished, and while a lot of it was old minor news or things we already knew, there was some new things to get out of it.

  • For those who don't already have Pikmin 3 (like me!), they showed off the ability to take photographs in the game, which was news to me.
  • Luigi confirmed for new SSB, as if there was any doubt.
  • More Wind Waker HD, and it looks good. One new tidbit they showed is that changing wind direction has been made quicker by taking out the "You played the song yay" message each time you play the song.
  • Unlike the first game, Pokemon Rumble U will definitely have all of the Pokemon up through the 5th generation.
  • Animal Crossing Plaza is like Miiverse Plaza but with Animal Crossing and it is super adorable. And it's available for download right now!

Two things:

First, a new update for the system is out, which gives you the ability to use the new Street Pass Relay system. This is great news for people (like me) who rarely pass other people with the system.

Second, the new Nintendo Direct just finished, and it has some nice new information:

  • Wario Land 3 coming to VC! Heck yeah!
  • Animal Crossing DLC beginning Aug. 11, starting with pumpkin pie. Downloadable at Nintendo Zones.
  • Mario & Luigi: Dream Team will have challenges, with things like dodging 10 attacks in a row and such.
  • The "other world" in Zelda: A Link Between Worlds was shown off, and it doesn't quite look like the Dark World in LttP. You get there by travelling through magic cracks in the walls. Also, they pointed out that this other world has "another Triforce" of some kind, as indicated by the black one on the logo.
  • Animal Crossing community opening up in universe. Coming along with it is theAnimal Crossing Plaza for the Wii U, which is super adorable and lets you post messages and mark your favorite characters.

This is weird. I put in "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" and it tells me "There is a page named "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" on this wiki", and yet the second page it suggests to me has exactly that title. What gives?

It has more than just a timer slapped on.

Obviously not everything in my document will be in TCRF article.

I doubt. All of the changes there are things they specifically put there for the purpose of the demo. What would have been worth noting is anything outside of the demo areas had been out of place, or if debug features were hidden in there.

Probably a dumb idea, but did you try opening ZZZZ.dat in a hex editor? There's got to be some kind of header we can use to figure it out, or at least text.

Now that I think about it, I recall another game (was it Strikers?) also had a ZZZZ file or something similar.

I highly recommend playing Bowser's Inside Story before Dream Team. It pretty much sets up everything that Dream Team builds off of, like the 2D/3D split and badge system, not to mention introducing characters like Starlow and Broque Monsieur that return.


I've already sunk 5 and a half hours into the game. Between this and New Leaf, I don't think I'll be getting anything accomplished soon.

They just pop up at Nook's on occasion. The reason the ones you see can't be ordered is likely because they were customized at Re-Tail. The default color is pink, and the other available colors are black and blue, so yeah.

It's pretty similar, but you no longer have 2D and 3D occuring at the same time. The gameplay is either one or the other. Since all of the special dream gimmicks use Luigi on the touch screen, you won't have the situation in Bowser's Inside Story where you can only do certain level things if Bowser is in a specific location, and (for example) changing the water level requires you to move Bowser to and away from a water pump. This makes using the gimmicks quicker and less tedious. This also means you no longer have to keep track of two character locations.

Plus, the dream worlds are really fun to be in. They're really pretty, and the battles in them are crazy and fun. Even though it is really similar to BIS in a lot of ways, it also has a lot of things that distinguish it from the others.


If you're still iffy on it, there's a demo available in the shop for you to try. I don't exactly know what it contains, but I imagine it will have a little bit of both.
