Did you find out when you got to work? I've done that before; not exactly the best day of my life. No, not at all.

I finally have an 8-thread 64-bit Linux SMP client running in a virtual machine. All I need to do now is not touch it.

...that's not always easy.

I work the overnight shift. Somehow I still manage to be online all day. But yeah, I guess my plans for that night are already set.

I happened to land on a sheet of ice, and my downward momentum more or less continued when once my feet were on the ground. I ended up flat on my back and banged my head on another sheet of ice. Somehow I didn't really get hurt though. I think kids are at least partially invincible.

Well either it's a 16-bit integer, or somebody randomly decided that after that much we don't care anymore. Good to know, though.

NSMB I played to 100% twice. Although the second time it would only show 2 coins on the title screen instead of 3, and I couldn't figure out what I missed.

SMB: Countless times, usually in 5 minutes with Warp Zones.
SMB2: A few times. I didn't like it as much, but it's all we had to do 10 years ago.
SMB2J: Was hard! I could beat it but I've seen quite a few Game Overs.
SMB3: Several times. I don't think it saved on the NES, did it? I may have done this in one sitting.
SMW: Probably only once or twice to *96.
SM64: Once to 120, didn't care too much after that.
NSMBWii: All in one sitting, ignoring most of the coins and anything extra. Didn't warp though. I want level hacks! Hmmm I wonder who knows how to make good levels around here.

Mine was down for a little while, had to reboot. I started getting really bad disk thrashing while my VM had 4600MB/8GB. The funny part? Windows still reported ~2GB free; it just chose to swap out to the page file all the programs I was currently using so that it could maintain 2GB of free RAM. If I wanted that, I would have just installed 6Gb! I didn't buy all this RAM just to look pretty (although it's G.Skill Ripjaws RAM, so I could almost understand that mistake ). Anyway, swap files are now completely disabled and everything is running smoothly again.

It probably doesn't help that I had to restart to apply a hotfix

I lol'd when you quoted the console box

So did you lose what you were working on? Mine just continued where it left off.

But that's why I have a Windows 98 and a Windows XP virtual machine installed on here

If I start a virtual machine maximized on my second monitor set it to capture my other USB mouse/keyboard, there's no way to differentiate it from a real computer. Well...almost.

I used to prefer using a gamepad, but for some reason it's been horribly laggy and I had to go back to using the keyboard.

That reminded me of something awesome that I did a long time ago with my sisters and a few friends. We played Mr. Boom in a 7-player match after I relabeled the entire keyboard with making tape and a sharpie marker! 7-player bomberman is pretty much awesome. It's kinda hilarious that we all shared the same keyboard.

I play with my hands crossed because I'm used to using my left hand for the D-pad, while the arrows are on the right side of the keyboard.

lol, it's true. I cannot imagine trying to move a character with my right hand. I haven't quite made it over that particular learning curve.

So, it's been suggested that I clean my room. Having a clean room is like having neat handwriting; I can when I want to, but usually, you won't be able to read one word. Or take one step. Whatever the situation is.

I should finish my first f@h work unit before 3 days pass; I set the config to take big work units, but it is going a respectable speed. Using my computer is the only thing slowing it down.
