I haven't worn one for a few years (mine broke, never got it fixed/a new one), but I used to wear it on my left wrist (non-dominant hand).Originally posted by DanielleAgreed. ... Well, I used to wear bracelets on my right wrist all the time, and just take them off whenever I was writing. That was a nuisance. But now that I don't wear a watch, I wear my bracelets on my left arm. :x Actually, small chains are okay to have on while writing, but that's about it. *Aiya shrugs. -------------------- o.O |

| I liked math until grade 11. I was always given extra stuff to do because I'd get everything done and be sitting around bored. heh. But yeah, in grade 11, I had a guy who was actually a gym teacher, not a math teacher, and if you didn't quite get something and asked him to explain/show you again, he'd do it so fast you couldn't follow, mumbling under his breathe, and then go 'See? Like that.' Uh, no, I don't see. Then halfway through the semester, we got a different teacher, new to teaching, who had the squeakiest, highest pitched voice I've ever heard. I couldn't listen to her without getting a headache. So, I started just working out how to do things from the text books, but that wasn't the "right way." Bleh. I could do the problems and whatnot, but when it came to the tests, she'd dock marks because I didn't 'show my work' the way she wanted it done, so my marks tanked. I passed, barely. The next year when I signed up for a course and walked in the first day and saw her, I transferred to something else after class was over. She wanted to have our parents' numbers and emails so she could contact them if we didn't finish our homework, wanted us to sign a "contract" saying that we'd do our homework every day, and that we'd have all assignments in on time, etc., and if we didn't, we'd have detention until it was done. In principle, maybe it's a good idea? But with seniors in high school, not so much. That, and I already didn't like her, so it bothered me more. ![]() Math wasn't mandatory for all four years of high school, so I took an alternative (I think a language? I don't remember anymore). I still think math is neat, but I have no interest in trying to do it anymore, which kind of sucks. -------------------- o.O |

Originally posted by DragSounds a bit like ADD, actually. Not absorbing what you're reading and things like that, anyway. I like this for its clear descriptions of different issues (and also its comparison between ADD and ADHD). I would say, though, that not eating well, being stressed, and not getting enough sleep, especially, definitely cause problems like that. I hope you get better floormates or whatever next year. =/ If you can, I'd say go see a doctor about it, just to be sure. Make a list of the things you're noticing, just so you don't forget to mention something, because leaving out one thing can change what it sounds like. (I know that from experience. :x) If you can't, I guess just try to fix those things, and see if it helps. -------------------- o.O |

| My longest trip by land was approximately 1 475 km (~915 miles) from London, Ontario, to Ocean City, Maryland. It was the dumbest, weirdest route, sending me through Buffalo, over to Albany, down through NYC, through Philadelphia, to Baltimore, through Salisbury and over to Ocean City. I took a bus route, so I didn't really have a choice. I'd looked up a route on the US Greyhound site, and it was much shorter, but when I got to the terminal in Ontario, they "didn't even have that route" and couldn't figure out how to make it work because they have ancient old computers there. I had a printout of the route with me, and showed it to them. 'Twas utterly ridiculous. By the time they figured it out, the bus I needed to be on (to Detroit!) was already gone. :< I had icky bus people experiences that trip. It was not pleasant. D: Anyway, longest flighty trips have been from Toronto, Ontario, to Zürich, Switzerland, with stopovers in usually either England, Germany, or the Netherlands, and back again. Distance? No clue. Usually at least 9 hours in planes, not counting stops, travel to airport, etc. *shrug* I've been on a lot of planes, to a bunch of places. First trip, I was 8 months old. XD Longest driving road trip where I didn't drive at all was from my parents' place to Ottawa, Ontario, (600 km/375 miles, ish) when I was in grade 8. I've never really driven too far by myself. Went from Upstate, NY, to .. Providence~ish, Rhode Island (165 miles?) at some point, but I didn't drive for most of it.-------------------- o.O |

I played piano for about.. 11 years taking lessons and whatnot (Good grief. I have to remember to thank my parents more some time.), and now I play a bit just to keep it up. I'm kinda rusty. I did the Royal Conservatory of Music exams in Ontario, up to 'grade 8.' I graduated from high school, and didn't have much time anymore, so I stopped doing the exams. Then I moved and didn't have a piano for a while, other than the one at my sig. o.'s mom's church that I don't like going to because the pastor guy is creepy. D: A year or two ago she (sig. o's mom) got a piano for her house, so I can play it sometimes, when she doesn't have stuff piled all over it. ![]() I used to play the viola in school, but then the school program stopped. I always wanted to play the cello (I love the way it sounds). Might do that sometime way down the road when I have the money/time to. =/ I sang in my high school choir (which isn't as dorky as it sounds, honest. We had a really... whacky vocal teacher guy. XD He's awesome.) but I haven't really sung since. (Rock Band doesn't count!) I think I probably sound vaguely like someone stepping on a cat's tail, now. (I don't really know, I haven't tried singing a cappella in a few years. I think I'm scared to. heh) -------------------- o.O |

The way they teach that stuff is kinda.. bad, but I don't really know how else they could teach it. heh.We had this one lady come in as a guest speaker thing, and she took spermicide and spread it all over her hands after describing its uses, saying it was a good moisturizer, and then went to shake people's hands after an activity. Those people looked at her like she had three heads, and avoided her hands. ![]() Originally posted by The Red SnifitI get that, but what I don't get is that some teachers dock marks if you don't do the proof the way they want you to.
