It isn't really so much as "it says something different", it's more a case of me making slightly different translation choices.

For example, ハッハーン、ただのザコだ！ (hahha--n, tada no zako da!) "zako" is literally small fish/small fry, but can also infer a really low opinion of someone else's social standing. Like, not having a magnificent moustache. Hence, "you poor, bald little creature" is just as valid as my more-literal "You're just a small fry!"

I also realize that hahhan could just be him clearing his throat. Ahem.

But yeah, they're more or less the same thing, just translated by two different people.
