Hi everyone!
I'm sort of functioning as a volunteer for this rather awesome thing that Xk is doing. And now I'm posting about it on it here, to get your attention!
The Cutting Room Floor is a wiki-fied version of BMF's site of the same name.
Right now, I'm working on porting old content over from the original site, but at some point, we're gonna need new content. And so, the purpose of this thread. Have you seen something weird and unused floating around in your rom-hacking travels? Throw a post in here with a little write-up, and it'll sneak its way onto the wiki. (Unless Xk makes it open-registration sometime, in which case... screw the middle man, make it yourself. D

I got... a bunch of little awesome things, and four "big" gifts.
My girlfriend got me Jareth's necklace from Labyrinth, "Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters", to go with my copy of "Pride and Prejudice with zombies," a skull-and-crossbones wallet, and a gift I am yet to see. :x
My nephews got me a Nightmare before Christmas T-shirt.
And my parents got me $50 in PSN cash, 4000 MS points, a year of XBL... and a box of Magic: the Gathering booster packs that is in transit as we speak. Plus a really, absurdly nasty individual card that wasn't too expensive. I'm happy with this. :x

I think I can field this answer. Most of the content on the wiki right now is unused stuff that has been hacked out of games. It isn't "Let's create new things!", nor is it "Let's find development pictures!" It's that shining in-between, finding glowing examples of removed content hiding within the inner reaches of familiar data.

Things like that. Or dummied-out cheat codes. (Or just codes that nobody ever found. D: ) All of these qualify as "cutting room floor" elements, although if Xk wants to correct me... well, his is the Word of God, in this case. D:

My new year's resolution is usually "I will not change myself just because the year has ended."
That said, my plans for this year involve posting more, finishing porting stuff to the Cutting Room Floor wiki, and surviving my first semester at Hunter College after scraping by in a community college for 2 years. >>;

I don't smoke, but my girlfriend does, and is constantly saying "Gee, I want to quit, this costs so much money and it's inconvenient, etc." ... her birthday is in a couple days. I think, sir, you have given me an excellent idea, even if it's a pretty box with an "IOU 1 elec. cig when I has money" and another gift inside of it. You're the first person I've seen that's put a lot of thought and consideration into the things, and wrote up a compelling explanation.
Also, the "no nicotine" variety might well make for a badass, badass, super-accurate solid snake cosplay, so, bonus there.

I loved the storyline in SMG1, which... is why SMG2 kind of worries me.
