I'd swear in my journal entries, but never in speaking until I was older (around age 15 or so...)

Yea... those alphabetical keypads are annoying... at least you don't see them as often anymore (pretty much only on scientific/graphing calculators now, like those by Casio and TI)

I've worked with old cash registers that had an alphabetical layout... at least newer cash registers use QWERTY layouts, AFAIK

Yea... I remember how Venusaur's Razor Leaf would score a critical hit like 9 times out of 10, making it one of the best moves in the game

Unfortunately, they changed the critical hit rate calculations in later generations, so it wouldn't work in the later games

I still, however, preferred Blastoise... because it was easier to score a super-effective against a Venusaur (four weaknesses) than Charizard (the starter your rival ends up with if you start with Bulbasaur, only three weaknesses, IIRC), meaning that an Alakazam, Fearow, or Arcanine would be a good team member to have when starting with Squirtle
