I've stuck to many classic Genesis RPGs, but I've started an LP of Pokémon Red recently, and if everyone can get together regularly, a Diablo II Let's All Play still ongoing. Oh, and Mega Man 1-3 (so far).

It seems there's a new site that's archiving/presenting YouTube LPs.

As of yet I have no idea how to submit LPs other than contacting them. I have contacted them asking how it works, but haven't checked for a response yet. This could be a way for those of us who do LPs but haven't really been picked up on yet to get exposure, but I have no idea how well it would work out...
Edit: okay, that's just a little disturbing... apparently the guy has mostly just picked and chosen a bunch of different LP series at random, though some people have contacted him to request their videos added.

I like them both, to be honest. The idea that the Mafia have the ability to simply determine who someone is rather than actually making a kill is intriguing, to say the least. At that point, though, it all depends on the host of the game making the announcement properly... I think I'd prefer it if the rule was that if no one dies in the night, the announcement is the same regardless (so there is no distinction between if it's because the insomniac was awake - if that's still an available way to avoid death - if it's because the doctor saved the individual targeted, or because they simply chose to scout instead of kill). I think that would be the proper way to balance them all together, should it be implemented.
Anyways, that's literally the most I've said here in 7 months; I'm slightly proud of myself.

You realize that the Mafia should all know who each other are, and can communicate with each other freely; further, this is a replacement action, not a extra action. If the Mafia chooses to scout instead of kill, that's it, no further action is taken by them. It does trigger Insomniac's ability to listen to adjacent rooms (depending on which Mafia member orders the scouting), but does not trigger the Trapper's trap. Anyways, I don't see it as being all that overpowering, since knowing who someone is doesn't give entirely too much power, not to mention that it takes twice as long to kill a specific person (one night to scout, another to kill). It almost seems to give bystanders the edge by up to doubling the number of rounds they have to sniff out Mafia members (depending on how much this ability is used).
Anyways, that's my interpretation of things. This also depends on the Mafia being organized, which isn't always the case...

Oh man, you guys suck so bad; I barely get my password reset so I can make fun of you all for royally screwing up a game of Mafia, then you can't help but kill me in the first round of the game.
Actually, that's probably good strategy on your guys' part; I'd've totally ruined the game for the Mafia, probably.

Just a quick rule suggestion: absolutely no post editing if there's at least one more post after the one you were thinking of editing. While prompted by what CB did, this is not intended as a dig against him; if anything I'm just looking out for players so that they don't look to be casting suspicion on themselves the way he did (my ideology is slightly less... well something(brain is malfunctioning due to the lateness of the hour), since I already know who everyone is; I will admit that this last round was absolutely hilarious in my all-seeing eyes, though).
And here Madman doesn't think I'll actually bring this up...

Sukasa, I'm honestly surprised you didn't jump and take the bullet anyways, since that basically guaranteed the Mafia victory without the need for ambiguous vote tying. After all, the Thug is kinda playing both side, not counting as Mafia in the official count, but still in a position to help them win...
We need more oldbies jumping in and spicing up the game, or something like that...

Not throwing any accusations quite yet, but I'd just like to get clarification on whether the Insomniac can be killed at night anymore (there have been several changes to this role in the past and I wanted to make sure I wasn't confused before saying anything). If he can't die than that means there are two possibilities:
1) He was targeted last night and simply didn't die
or
2) The Mafia pulled one of those investigative rounds on us
Of course, if he can die, then I guess there's only one possibility, eh?
(sure wouldn't mind hearing some kind of good news from the Sheriff soon...)

Actually, since we DO know how last round went, and since I've been doing what reading that I can, I find the sudden accusation of Ramon by Imajin to be much more suspicious, since Sukasa has already put up a pretty good argument for not jumping on him based on what we've seen of this round. I'll admit, this could just be a trap by Sukasa, should he be Mr. Big Shot, but I somehow have doubts about that conclusion...
