A friend of mine and I somehow accidentally discovered the infinite jumping trick in Donkey Kong Country's first mine cart level. We quickly figured out how to replicate it and were so stoked to try and get it submitted to Tips & Tricks magazines or something since this was the 90's, haha. We never went through with that though...

Drakengard 3 because I love Yoko Taro now and I think this game makes me a masochist.

It is SO Access Games, I'm pretty sure it's built upon some of the same tech and engine as Deadly Premonition. So it has zero budget. It's awesomely bad but I've weirdly had a fun time through it. Getting all the weapons now to unlock Branch D.

Despite how clunky and broken the game is, the cutscenes are really well done so I guess Access Studios has some talent there.

So GeckoYamori just did the entire Mega Man X OST via Genesis:

I thought the $399 premium price was a crazy joke...

but no, it's real. I have no words for that. lmfao

I migrated over to imgur for now. Only downside to imgur is how it jumbles up the file names and organizing is kind of a pain.

Halo 2 Anniversary is still kind of the only reason why I'd ever want an Xbox One, but yeah. I still like Halo 1 the most, but I like Halo 2 more everytime I go back to it and the remaster looks great. And despite being a cut/problematic development, it's still longer than Halo 3 and Reach combined somehow.

That's strange, in the 360 version of Halo 1 Anniversary you can switch the graphics on the fly. Not the music though, and I didn't like the new arrangement as much as the original OST.

Cocoa pebbles lol. I don't think I'm gluten sensitive, but it is gluten free and seems easy on the stomach. Definitely not a healthy choice though... but I eat pretty balanced outside of that.

It blew me away and I was really skeptical, because I've got severe open world fatigue thesedays. Everything it did clicked with me though and I loved it. Didn't go for 100%, but I did over 100 shrines, put in like 90 hours I think, so I did quite a bit.

I actually played on the Wii U and thought that version was completely fine and tolerable. But I'll probably buy it again on the Switch someday for a replay. And that should say something, rarely am I ever that excited to replay an open world 90 some hour game again...but I can't wait to experience this another time.

I for one will miss the OoT formula and liked the emphasis on dungeon crawling, but we got about 5 games out of that blueprint so change wasn't a bad thing. My only issues with Breath of the Wild is that the enemy variety gets a little thin after awhile, the four shrines while cool were quite easy, and I think it would have topped things off perfectly if it still had a few classic dungeons in there. Maybe they will refine things for the next game.

Agreed. It felt like they went for simplicity and stripped out some of the key items of the past, but I think a few more powers for more unique puzzles would have gone a long way.

The two I missed most that come to mind are the hookshot and the boomerang. I always liked the boomerang puzzles or boss fights in the other 3D games, seeing it resorted to just a normal weapon with nothing else special to it was a little disappointing.

I guess the climbing and air jump kind of diminishes the need for a hookshot, but they probably still could have done some cool stuff with that in this. And the dual hookshot in Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword was really cool.

Finally hitting up Ratchet & Clank (PS4)... wow, this game is incredible. I'm about halfway into it and my jaw was on the floor the entire time. Literally one of the best and coolest looking games I've ever seen, even compared to my high end PC stuff. I hope Insomniac still keeps this series going. Love it.

Yeah I didn't have too much trouble getting the platinum for Doom 4. I plan to get it again on Steam since it goes on sale so often. I will gladly buy that game again and play it over a few more times haha.

Cool timing! Better late than never, but I finally started checking out some streamers myself this year... it is pretty fun. I usually put the vids on the side while I'm doing other stuff but it's fun background noise, haha. Been really into podcasts thesedays too and this is kind of an extension of that in ways perhaps. I never thought I'd get into it, but here I am.

Tekken 7 is insanely fun to watch.

Yeah route B is a different perspective with some new stuff, but route C after that is straight up the back half of the game and all new stuff. It gets REAL! Probably my GOTY honestly. It gave me the craziest Xenogears/Xenosaga vibes in the coolest ways ever. I didn't think Breath of the Wild would be topped, but I'm a sucker for all the themes Automata tapped into... and that OST is out of this world.

I've never liked Mega Man 7-8 much, but they're still fine. It's been so long since I've played them though I'm actually excited to give them another run.

I still think Mega Man & Bass should have been on this set, which I think outclasses both 7-8 for that era.

9-10 are awesome and I still haven't played those much, so it'll also be fun giving them another run!
