Speaking of games, the only place in town where I can likely find any old video games is this Play-n-Trade. The downside is that it's essentially in the crime hole of the town. It got so bad that our town actually sold the land away to the city, so while it still gas the same name, it's not even our town anymore.

Then just a few hours ago, I found an old SNES controller at a thrift store. I needed it to fix/replace the one that has the start/select buttons broken, but since it didn't have a price on it, apparently it wasn't for sale (or so my mom claims). Probably wanted to buy that deathtrap of an N64 controller. Interact Superpad. The plastic part of the stick was ripped out, so only the metal stick remained, and pushing down seemed to push against the back of the controller.

God DAMN.

Zone Alarm will do everything for computer security, even virus protection, and it does it well. Doesn't hurt to have free programs like Spybot Search and Destroy and Malwarebytes, our family has been using ZA since at least 2000, and there hasn't been any sort of major gripe about it (sometimes it'll cause a full screen game to minimize just to say something stupid, but that's about it).

Not sure if you want to pay for it, though, but it sure is worth it.

The only bullshit boss fight I can remember in recent personal history is the boss battle to become a Platinum Tamer in Digimon World Dawn/Dusk. You have in-training monsters and ImperialdramonPM against you. Sounds easy, but they all have ridiculously high stats and the first time I fought them I was basically wiped out in 3 minutes (2 of them trying to figure out my next move). Also, one of them uses a freaking lullaby attack that puts all of my active party to sleep, and I get pummeled therein. I think it took me a dozen tries, training my six strongest Digimon by leaps and bounds, and I still go down to one or two of my party still standing. And what's more bullshit is the Silver Tamer battle had three megas, with me thinking "Oh shit, these are powerful, there's no way I can beat them." then five minutes later "Oh shit, THESE are powerful?"

I'm just saying the Platinum Tamer battle was really more of a screw you [url=http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BossInMookClothing[/url]boss in mook's clothing-ish battle. Except in a boss room.

Somehow got into Digimon World Dusk again. Fun game, and the programmers were pretty smart making it possible to play most of the game one handed a la Earthbound, so I can type and grind at the same time.
