Ever since I was young, I would collect coins that were either really old or had a different sound to them (like the silver quarters and dimes, when you hit them against a surface, they make a different sound than a normal quarter) just in case later down the road, they might be worth something. Most people don't even notice what change they hand you at work, and I've gotten most of my old coins that way. One time, the bank gave us two rolls of silver quarters, that we didn't notice until we opened it up while at front at work. Many customers wanted their change in quarters, instead of dollars and some wanted to buy them off of us. I've never had my coins looked at, but after reading that article, I just might now, or if anything do some research online. ____________________ ![]() |
