Their parental controls suck, yet they go through all the friend code to protect kids. Why not just have stronger parental controls? That's what I meant by it not making sense.

They should've put more time into them. They must be aware of the dissent against friend codes. Even the gaming news sources denounce them.

Because everybody knows parents don't actually do their job, so they have to be sure to lock it odwn.

I mean, fuck. The media is full of shit; they've managed to spout off some bullshit:

- PEDOPHILES could STEAL YOUR INFORMATION using PICTOCHAT while DRIVING!
- A reporter (in the house) managed to get a kid (who knew the reporter was in his house) to give him his address (which the reporter obviously already knew) and presented it as evidence that kids could potentially give out their address to real pedophiles this way! brillian logic, jeeves.

It's all the Wii's crap that has driven me to liking Sony's stuff better.

I like EA's sports titles better anyway. I mean, Wii Sports is fun, but... it's not worth getting the console for, while the PS3 and 360 still seem to have good releases coming fairly often.

(the 360's way too online-based, though, so it's PS3 for me.)

I've always been a Nintendo gamer. Always. Ever since the Gameboy original. And yet now I want a 360 because it appeals more to me. Some of the most fun I've had gaming recently was playing Left 4 Dead with my really good friend back home. In my eyes, the only thing Wii is good for now is the very occasional game and 4-player Brawls every now and then.

I always liked the Nintendo stuff more myself, too.

Then I got an Xbox in 2002. I still need to mod it, I can't wait to play Amiga games on the television...
