The issue was that, if a filter that nobody would care about was what kept it from the Wii, it would be a bit absurd.

That said, it's probably because it would prevent everyone involved from instead selling each game separately on the VC for 6-8 dollars a piece.

Sigh.

Virtual Console sounds like the reason.

I mean why have them spend $50 to get a lot of games when you can release them individually and sell them for $8 each?

The only games not released on Virtual Console are the two SMS games (which I assume will both be on in the future), Decap Attack, Fatal Labyrinth, Flicky, Sonic and Knuckles and Vectorman 2. (E-SWAT is available in Europe/Australia)

So yeah. There's your reason why this isn't on Wii.

(Funny how Sega won't do this but SNK Playmore released the Neo Geo compilation for Wii...)

It's not $50, it's gonna be $30. But I get your point.

It's 49 games, total.

Minus 7, for games the VC is missing.

Total cost of buying 49 games on the VC at $8: $392
Individual cost of each game in this package: $0.61

The 4 Sonic games are more than enough to push the cost of buying them on the VC over buying this collection.

And that isn't even all of them (1, 2, 3, K), as I didn't count 3D Blast or Spinball. Add those in and the difference is even worse.

None; I wouldn't buy a waste of a disc and casing like this, ever.

(Also, I don't have an Xbox 360 or a PS3.)

We need a collection of games that haven't been collected together yet into a compilation.

Castlevania Anthologies would be killer, for instance. Castlevania, Castlevania 2 and 3, Super Castlevania, Rondo of Blood, Castlevania Legends, Circle of the Moon, Symphony of the Night, Harmony of Dissonance, Circle of the Moon, Aria of Sorrow, Castlevania 64, Legend of Darkness, and maybe even Belmont's Revenge.

All in one game with no graphical updating bullshit; just a collection. That would kick an amazing amount of ass.

I dunno. I'm just rambling.

Way to not answer my question at all.

Terrible idea. It's more profitable to re-release handfuls of them with extras on the PSP and/or DS.

Well, I know that PSN has been releasing CV games that were on the PSX initially. SotN and Legends are the only two I know of that exist on there so far but they've also mentioned another project as well.

Why have CotM in there twice?

Anyways, I think it'd be a good idea to have a few different compilation disks for Castlevania, if it's going to be made like that at all. Castlevania Original Anthologies, containing the NES Castlevanias, Super Castlevania, Rondo of Blood, and all the others that are styled like that. Castlevania Portable Collection, with CotM, AoS, HoD, and maybe even Symphony of the Night as a bonus for completing the other three, with the original opening speech and ending speech. Since SotN is what started the trend for the portables. Maybe even throw DoS and PoR in there too. I haven't played PoR myself, but the annoying touchscreen spells you had to do in DoS could be done with the Wiimote, or the PS3's Sixaxis. Or a button combination on the Xbox 360. Also, a third compilation for the GB Castlevanias, but with them touched up a bit. For example, in the one with Sonia Belmont, have her walk faster.

That's my idea.

I might consider this, but then I think I'd rather just download the games onto my computer, hook my 360 controller to that, and then hook the computer to the TV.

Wait a sec, need to fix that.

For example, in all the GB Castlevania games, have the Belmonts walk faster.

There we go. Have you ever tried Castlevania Adventure? Dear lord...
