I like some duller greens. Not too crazy about the super saturated ones (in any hue, really) and some browns are alright, as long as it doesn't look like shit. Orange is nice. Almost any orange I like as long as it's not too yellow. I hate yellow. Pretty much every other one I'm fine with.

Gray, red, blue, green, brown. The former two mostly, though.

Especially gray - it's as dull as me!

Anything reasonably reflective seems to look cool regardless of what color it is. I had a shiny, navy-blue calculator once. It was awesome.

Shiny is always awesome, but shiny isn't a colour.

I've always hated blue. At first for the sole fact that it was my brother's favourite colour, but now just because it looks ugly to me. Ugly and overused.

Also, I always thought white was the absence of colour, at least in regards to the colour wheel. In light, black is the absence of colour, and white is the presence of all colours. In physical colour perception, black is all the colours combined, and white is no colour at all.

Then again, some people say black and white are shades. Which they are. There's a lot of controversy on the subject. Grey can be considered both a colour and a shade. Not a hue, though. The lack of saturation...

You see the opposite of what something is. (unless that something actually emits light, as opposed to reflect it)

In art terms, these "colors" are actually substances that reflect certain wavelenghts of light. That's why if you mix three of these substances that absorb only one kind of light (red green and blue lights, reflecting yellow magent and cyan which is what we see them as) you can control the quantity of light of each kind that gets reflected, therefore making a paint of a certain color and the so called "chromatic wheel".

It's basically why if you convert say, something yellow (green+red) and something red both of the same saturation, to a grayscale, the yellow one will look brighter. Becouse the thing is actually just blue and is reflecting both all red light and all green light, while the red one is cyan and only reflects red light.

Of course, to reflect white you just need something that reflects all white light, which the mere paper might do. On the other hand, to "reflect" black you would need to absorb all light, pretty much like black holes do.

Also, black, gray or white are relative to their surrounding. As most phisical opaque things will always reflect a little of light. You could label them as the intensity in which a mix of all colors are, white being a high intensity and black being almost none.

Then again, there is bright black that isn't gray at all, and not seeing doesn't equal to seeing black... though this could also be an optical illusion or whatever.

thirding the blue. I think the shade of blue in hydrapheetz's avatar is my favorite. I also like indigo and certain shades of green.

Blue is easily one of the easiest colors to blend and blend well. So many different shades that don't look like ass.

Blue, red, and green, in that order.

Especially dark shades. Not near-black, but dark... kinda like my post's background.
