Wouldn't really matter if it's online. If it sucks donkey balls, they can at least roll a patch through it.

If this is that good AND have trophies, that's an easy sell for me.

Why not for Wii? I doubt it's an issue of being able to run it right.

I never had a genesis as a kid so I never played like, any, of those. This would've been the perfect way to do so.

I wish the list had Earthworm Jim, Road Rash and Primal Rage.

Going to pass on this.

Oh sure, upgrade a 480i game to 720p. Yeah, that makes tons of sense.

The classic 2D style never looked so raped!

Your wish is my command.
(Image unceremoniously borrowed from GameFAQs/GameSpot, before someone suggests I fabricated it.)

So, yeah. Lovely HD graphics, and totally not simply filtered and inappropriately stretched to the wrong aspect ratio.

While I doubt it's a whole collection of Sonic Genesis Mk2s, I doubt this is going to revolutionize anything. I mean, just look at the sales pitch:

• MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER OPTIONS. Play these classics together with a friend from the same console at home.
So you can play them with 2 players... just like the original versions! (Also, no multiplayer in Alex Kidd, the Phantasy Stars, Ecco 1/2, Ristar, Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic Spinball, Shining Force 1/2, Dynamite Headdy, Beyond Oasis, and maybe a few more that I missed.) So yeah, totally massive.

• ALL TITLES UPGRADED TO HI-DEF. The classic 2D style never looked so good! Each of the titles has been converted to hi-def (720p) and will be a blast to play using the intuitive controls of the Xbox 360® and PLAYSTATION®3 systems.
Intuitive controls? Intuitive controls? What does that even mean? I mean, sure, the MD controller was either love-it-or-hate-it, but I'm not sure "we have nice controllers!" is a good marketing strategy. It's fairly obvious these games don't have any potential for analog controls, either.

On the other hand, it would be nice to have them all in one place (not getting into the "download the ROM!" argument that fortunately hasn't shown up in this topic yet), and getting around 50 games for that price is a lot cheaper than tracking down the originals (or the various ports like the PS GBA one).
Tanks

360? Yessum.

Sonic Retro did the best job describing this from the get-go.

Emulation + HQ3X = Old games to new by Sega.

No wonder it doesn't run on Wii.

I imagine that in-action, no one's really going to care.

Edit: That said, those screenshots don't exactly seem too flattering.

Nobody is going to care when you play it on the TV anyway.

I can tell you I never noticed the pixels when playing any of these games on my TV. Safe to say that nobody will notice the filtering on their TVs anyway.

And seriously, are you suprised? Sega is re-re-re-re-re-releasing these games and every time so far they have done nothing to improve the games.
