The three remaining Knights had the four adventurers on the ropes...would they be able to get out of the jam they were in? Lily, frozen solid, could do little but watch from her icy prison... Freshly thawed out, Eppy helped out Fate with an HP-restoring Mushroom before turning his attention to the Blue Knight. His Superstrike hit for 3 damage--and with a crash, knocked the armor of the Blue Knight to the floor. Fate, after healing Lily with a Mushroom, sent another barrage of Thunder orbs at the Silver Knight. They slammed into it for 7 damage, ending with yet another crash--the Silver Knight's armor also littered the floor. Unfortunately, this meant X's attack whiffed completely... --- With his compatriots fallen, the Yellow Knight decided to try and end the battle with a finishing spell. Again, the voice echoed around the floor... ???: "You, who have disturbed the Palace of the Elements...feel the wrath of the Holy Judgment of Zeus!" Dark clouds suddenly gathered in the air above... Rumbles of thunder began echoing around the chamber, and lightning crackled between the clouds... Four strikes of lightning fell from the clouds, hitting each of the four adventurers. Eppy took 5 damage, Fate took 4 damage, Lily took 5 damage, and X took 6 damage. ...X fell to the ground, unconscious... ... From the bag that X dropped as he fell, a LifeShroom rose into the air... Hovering above the unconscious X, it restored him to consciousness before fading away... She took the damage from its lightning storm and brushed it off, intent on finishing this quickly. Fate: Bardiche! Bardiche: Arc Saber. The blade on Bardiche suddenly gained a ferocious amount of energy as Fate cocked the blade back and, in one fluid motion... Fate: HaaaAAAHH! ...hurled the energy blade of Bardiche out like a shuriken in a Superstrike against the remaining knight, slamming into it with deadly accuracy. The moment it did that, the space around Fate exploded in energy, catching her off guard. A few moments later, it subsided with her back to her original attire that she had when she came in as her plated friend Bardiche floated down into her hands. Her Braveheart boost had expired. Fate: Thank you, Bardiche. ____________________

Despite this, she chuckled. Lily: It was a good thing I focused before I went looking for trouble. I might not have lasted this long. She gripped her spear tightly before using it to help herself onto her feet. Lily: It's time for some pay-- what? Lily watched Eppy and Fate rush at the Yellow Knight. Lily: Ah, well. Lily slowly limped over to square 10. Lily: At least I got one hit in. Niets Arche. Arche: Ja. With her Braveheart boost coming to an end, Lily's weapon shattered into pieces and rearranged itself back into a small pendant. ____________________

With only one Knight left, the four could tell that they were nearing the end of the battle... Eppy wound up and let loose a Superstrike at the Yellow Knight, hitting it for 3 damage... ...just before Fate's Arc Saber hit it for 1 more point of damage... ...and with a clatter, the final Knight's armor lay spread out on the floor. ... Lily, getting up slowly, made her way over to square 10, where she found 5 coins on the ground. X, taking a rest, regained 5 HP and 1 FP. --- A voice once again echoed around the floor... ???: "We, the Armos Knights, have fallen protecting the temple we were entrusted to guard... "While we have failed in our mission, we are humbled by the show of power you four warriors have shown. We hereby bestow these tokens of our power to you..." In the center of the floor, four large crystals appeared, each resting upon a pedestal. ???: "These crystals contain the essences of the Elements. They should prove useful to you on your quest. Lily: Geeze. Lily looked over in Fate's direction. Lily: That last hit didn't sound as destructive as it should've been. It was more of a... "plink!" than a "KABOOM!" Maybe you should stick to swinging that thing with more electric juice than pure energy. She rubbed the back of her head. Lily: Well, when it was still around. Lily quickly put the five gold coins away and began walking towards the Silver Crystal Lily: Hm hm! Let's put my luck to the test. Although, I really don't feel lucky in such a situation that doesn't give me a luck stat. She picked up the crystal and began tossing it up and catching it as it fell down. Lily: I think I need to think a bit on my strategy. Maybe I should look more threatening when I'm going to attack. Maybe I should work on looking cooler. Hmmmmm.... Lily stopped tossing the Silver Crystal and started getting into random poses. For some strange reason, she got a BraveHeart boost from this. ____________________

Fate sweatdropped. Fate: It...usually does a lot more damage than that... (I was hoping for a decapitation...) She eyed Bardiche one more time...but considering that she had just thanked him, she didn't feel the want to do any floor spiking with him at the moment. She looked around at the crystals that were on the floor. She shrugged. Fate: I guess it might come in handy... (Kind've a gip after all that...) Fate eyed the coin that she had between her thumb and index finger. She was used to currency being green in a softer form. She bit it, just to make sure. Nope. Not chocolate. She pocketed it...noting that she was continuing to amass a grand amount in her inventory. She wondered if she was going to be able to continue to carry all this... Fate: Hmm... The four were still looking around the floor... Fate found a ladder hanging on the wall. Climbing it, she found a mezzanine area above the floor they were on... ???: "Buy somethin', will ya?" A strange-looking plant--or was it a person?--had noticed her climbing the ladder. ???: "Why're ya lookin' at me like that? Haven't ya ever seen a Business Scrub before? I've got lotsa stuff here for ya to buy, so buy somethin'!" --Scrub Shop-- 10c: Mushroom - Restores 10 HP. 30c: SuperShroom - Restores 30 HP. 10c: Syrup - Restores 10 FP. 10c: FireFlower - Attack one enemy with fire. May cause burns. 10c: Thunderbolt - Attack one enemy with lightning. Fate was still blinking from seeing the greenery that just talked. Then again, she wasn't exactly sure why she was even moderately surprised. She dealt with her fair share of non-humans on a daily basis - her familiar being one of them. That rose another thought in her head that was quickly dismissed after the shrub woke her out of her thoughts for staring. Fate: Uhm...yes... She took her time analyzing what was available. With all the stuff here, she expected some way of maybe giving up some of her encumbrance for more cha-ching...but no luck. >>> Fate got done a few minutes later after assessing what she had on hand, she picked up 2 Mushrooms dropping 20 coins and leaving her with 4 and made her way on. She looked over the edge and waved, intent on not being the only one scouting around up here. Fate: Hey guys! There's more up here!
