Surrounded by strange suits of armor, the four nervously try to figure out what this floor has in store for them...

Lily, preparing herself for whatever may appear, casts a Shield on herself to improve her defensive powers.

Fate, checking out square 5, unfortunately finds nothing of interest.

Eppy, however, finds something strange: a suit of armor with its hand out, as if it were expecting something to be placed in its open palm. Perhaps an item would suffice...?

X also found nothing of interest on the square.

The four continue to move carefully around the floor...

Lily found only a few coins on her square, 5 in all...

Eppy, placing the DizzyDial in the statue's hand, watched as the seemingly empty suit of armor somehow placed the DizzyDial in its helmet and pulled out a LifeShroom, which Eppy took...

Fate found only 5 coins on the floor.

X, walking past the suits of armor, noticed that a few of them were strangely colored. As he got closer, four of the suits began to shake, and a voice echoed around the floor...

???: "The four Armos Knights, guardians of the Palace of the Elements...
The Red Knight, keeper of the Crimson Flame of Justice...
The Blue Knight, protector of the Holy Waters of Wisdom...
The Yellow Knight, wielder of the Divine Bolts of Power...
The Silver Knight, holder of the Legendary Cosmic Blade...
You shall be punished for trespassing in our resting place..."

Without warning, the four strangely colored suits of armor began hopping around the floor! They circled threateningly around the four explorers...

Lily: Oh wow, we've actually got some Armos Knights here, huh?

Lily looked around. The Armos Knights haven't attacked yet, but, surely, they will eventually. Perhaps something in the two squares that have not been explored yet will provide a way without dealing with the knights.

Lily: Heh. I really shouldn't be bringing this out so soon, but I feel like this might spice things up.

She clutched her spear-shaped pendant with her left hand.

Lily: Lieb Arche, die Uberlance!

A bright light burst out of the pendant, momentarily lighting up the area. The pendant exploded into pieces, with each of the pieces suddenly gaining mass. Eventually, the pieces connected to one another, forming what appeared to be a mechanical spear. The newly formed weapon's midsection had a sliding handle, which made it look like a cross between a spear and a pump-action shotgun.

Lily firmly grasped the spear. This overly complex spear grants Lily with a Braveheart boost.

Lily: Oh what? I've only got this for just a few turns?

Fate blinked a few times at what Lily just got done summoning. She pondered something for a moment...

Fate: If she can summon something like that...then perhaps...

Back at the Time-Space Administration Bureau...

Nanoha Takamachi knocked on the door belonging to Fate's quarters.

Nanoha: Fate-chan?

No answer. That was odd. Fate had asked her to come by about an hour ago. She just got done finishing up a lot of things that, in no small sense, was a pain and a half.

She opened the door, letting herself in to check around. No sign of Fate. Bardiche seemed to be next to her bedside, although said furnishing wasn't made very well. She would have to talk to Fate about that later.

Nanoha: Mou...where is that girl?

She turned and looked around the other area of the room to check for---

FWOOSH!!

Nanoha stopped dead in her tracks, the sound and lighting coming from behind her was definitely not a good sign as she felt an enormous amount of energy building behind her. She turned in time to see Bardiche glowing for a moment...in the air.

Nanoha: B-Bardiche!?

Bardiche: Wha---?

That was all Bardiche wrote before he suddenly disappeared, killing the lights for a moment before they came back on. There was a small energy trail left where it once was before dissipating.

Nanoha rubbed her eyes. Quite sure that she was having hallucinations or something...but then that would be too convenient for what she dealt with on a daily basis.

Fate: ...mmmnnNNNN!

The summoning that she was attempting seemed to be working. A moment later, her plated friend Bardiche appeared in the air in front of her and floated downwards in her hands.

Fate: Bardiche!

Bardiche: Beam me up!

Fate silently wondered where Bardiche was getting his less-than-serious tone from as of late but figured that this wasn't the time to worry about it. It was time to go to work. Bardiche seemed to convey the same...if a plate could emote.

Fate: Bardiche Assault. Set up.

Bardiche: Operating check. ... ... ... Insufficient resources.

Fate did a double take. She'd never heard that one before.

Fate: W-what? What do you mean INSUFFICIENT RESOURCES!?

Bardiche: Sir. Calm.

Fate: Ex-CUSE ME!? You've got some nerve to---

Fate stopped herself from the urge to spike Bardiche against the floor made it through her. Just another second and it would've been shattered into oblivion from her clenched fist aiming for the ground. She did calm down and began thinking logically.

Maybe it was still tired from today...or maybe it was because of this tower? There had to be some way to make this work.

Fate: Bardiche, are there any other alternatives?

Bardiche: Sir. Yes, sir.

Any help would work at this point.

Fate: Bardiche. Set up!

What followed was a light show obscuring Fate's presence entirely. Energy wisps and lightning strikes flowed around its area until it finally subsided abruptly and Fate dropped from a few feet in the air down to the ground, clutching a weapon of sorts.

Getting back to her feet, you could tell that her attire had changed from the should-have-been pajamas to a combat-drive Barrier Jacket. The weapon she was holding looked the part of a metal scythe with a yellow jewel on the heel next to its blade.

Fate looked at the blade in question.

Fate: Bardiche?

Bardiche: Sir.

Fate: ...What happened to your cartridge system...?

Bardiche: Insufficient re---

Fate: Ah HELL! You're...you...argh...

Fate mentally cursed. It was good enough that she was getting a Braveheart boost from all of this but without cartridges, she wasn't going to be able to solve anything exceptionally fast.

Bardiche: Sir. Time-space limitation field detected.

Fate: Eh?

Bardiche: Allowance of power limited to a short time.

This really was more difficult that Fate had bargained for. Oh well, she'd have to use what she could get.

Fate: Then let's make it worth our while.

Bardiche: Yes sir.

The four Armos Knights moved around the floor menacingly. Our four adventurers prepared themselves for a battle...

Lily's new weapon, though limited in duration, gave her a Braveheart boost to both forms of attack...

Eppy attempted to attack the Blue Armos Knight with Thunder; it only did 3 damage, but it also paralyzed it, making it unable to move or perform any physical attack.

Fate, summoning Bardiche to her aid, also gained a Braveheart boost.

X, slamming the floor with a Megaton Punch, shook it hard enough to damage all four Armos Knights. The quake did 3 damage to all four of them.

The Armos Knights moved in to attack...

The Red Knight threw a Fireball at Fate, dealing her 5 damage.

The Blue Knight, paralyzed, retaliated by casting Frostbite on Eppy, freezing him for a turn!

The Yellow Knight used a Smiting Strike on X, but it did just 2 damage.

The Silver Knight used a Slash of Sealing on Lily, silencing her for a turn.

(OOC: Regarding Paralysis and Silencing: Paralysis means you can't move or use physical attacks, so no picking squares or using physical skills (Superstrike/Megaton Punch/Check). However, any magical skills are free to use, including Braveheart/Shield.
Silencing is the opposite of Paralysis: no magical skills (Fire/Ice/Thunder/Braveheart/Shield) are allowed, but moving/picking squares and physical attacks (including Superstrike and Megaton Punch) are fine.
Items are still allowed in both cases, by the way.)

Silence. It was definitely not something a talkative girl like her was used to. Nevertheless, this was not a time for talking. She was unsure who to attack. She was.. sort of attacked, but Fate was directly attacked. The others were also attacked, but they could easily shrug off a few hits.

Lily glared at the Silver Knight. She was going to have to save him for later.

She reached into her pouch and pulled out what looked like a shotgun shell and loaded it into the spear. She turned around and cocked the pump.

Arche: Oktoberfest!

Lily smiled. At least she had something that could speak for her, even if it was in a different language. Suddenly, she charged towards the Red Knight.

However, she did not strike the Armos Knight yet. She ran past the once statue and leapt at the wall behind it. Lily kicked herself away from the wall and flew towards the Red Knight.

Arche: Sprengschneider!

Lily attacked with a Superstreik. She thrust her spear into the Red Knight's back, causing an explosion a moment after making contact.

((Edit: Superstreik is no typo!))

She set her sights on the Red Knight which Lily had already taken the initiative on with a blow to the back. Figuring on a Coup de grâce, Fate moved to charge a familiar attack at it.

Fate: Photon Lancer...

She charged energy into many, much larger, Photon spheres behind her than before. With Bardiche's help, this was going to make for a much more powerful attack.

Fate: ...PHALANX SHIFT! Fire!

Fate aimed Bardiche forward as the Thunder spheres behind her made their way towards the Red Knight, aiming directly at his front side.

After taking the first wave of shots from the Knights, the four try to keep calm and take out their opponents...

Lily, despite being silenced, used a Superstrikeeik to hit the Red Knight. She struck it for 8 damage.

Fate, following Lily's lead, launched a Thunder blast at the Red Knight. It hit a weak point, doing 7 damage to the Armos Knight...

...With a loud clatter, the Red Knight's armor fell to the floor, motionless.

X smacked the ground for a second Megaton Punch, doing 3 damage to all three of the remaining Armos Knights.

Eppy, encased in ice, remained motionless...

The Armos Knights, seeing one of their own number fall, increased their assault on the four adventurers...

The Blue Knight cast a wide-ranging Blizzard spell, chilling the floor... Eppy and Fate took 3 damage from the cold, X took 4 damage, and Lily took 3 damage--but she was also frozen for a turn!

The Yellow Knight cast Divine Bolt, dropping a bolt of lightning down on X from above... the bolt hit for a sizeable 8 damage, leaving X with only a small amount of life to cling to...

The Silver Knight slashed at the frozen Lily, doing 6 damage to her.

(Lily's Shield wore off.)
(Lily is no longer Silenced.)
(Eppy is no longer frozen.)

Fate's victory headshot was short-lived. She got up, quite a bit worse for wear, freezing after that last attack from yet another one of those d*mned knights...

Fate: I forgot there was...mph...more than one.

She looked Lily's way to see her as well off as a freezer geezer. She was pretty sure she didn't have anything to get her out of there, but it seemed magically built so she had a feeling it wouldn't last.

She did notice, however, that Lily looked much worse for wear than she did and she had a feeling that it wouldn't fix itself even after the ice melted. Reaching into her pouch that she had kept with her she pulled out one of the Mushrooms she had acquired at the start of this trip.

Fate: ...How do I--?

Fate didn't have to wait long before it got the message of using the Mushroom on Lily. It disappeared instantly as a stream of energy went directly into the ice sculpture of Lily, sending out an aura of phosphorescent green around it. She could tell it was doing something. Whether or not it would speed the defrosting process up was another story.

Fate turned on her heels, wincing from the damage she kept taking, sucked it up...and then closed her eyes and concentrated. Her thought processes turned to sizing up the entire situation within the next few moments. There wasn't much time. What would be the most effective medicine against all this...

Fate: ... ... ...

Fate's eyes opened after a few moments of thought, charging up more photon spheres.

Fate: There!

She eyed the Silver Knight and...

Fate: Fire!

Fate charged the photon spheres with the task of attacking the Silver Knight with yet another barrage of Thunder-based attacks.

EDIT: Ah geez, Eppy...you changed your tactics. :\
