It's something of an injoke that I didn't expect to translate well here. To be honest, the only reason the final exploding head is there is to allow for one last title tag (as the phrase is 6 words); it was originally just 5 exploding heads.

Never saw the old GamePro ratings, Ninetales?

(What was it... Graphics, Sound, Play Control, Fun Factor and Challenge?)

Boredom kills.

Literally. Don't breathe too close to Replakia.

VERY bad glitch left on the disk by NISA. Apparently there's a move by one 'Raki' in a fight called 'Frequency Disruptor'. This is one of the higher up bosses and not to mention an optional, 80,000 HP fight.

When it's used in the defense phase, the game will freeze. No exceptions. Apparently it was a nixxed attack in the US version but they forgot to do a few things to it to make it completely deleted. This will USUALLY be used in the 3rd defense phase...meaning you'll have to clean 80,000 HP in that time unless you look below...

There's only been one real solution to it thus far:

I beat the optional Raki once. I believe you have to force her to use her 1 hit move instead of Frequency Disruptor. I believe she will use the 1 hit move over the Frequency Disruptor if you lower her to a certain % of HP before the 3rd phase.

First turn was me building harmonics
1st defense, usual Raki moves
2nd turn activate Replakia
2nd defense, usual Raki moves
3rd turn fired Gaea off, Raki was still alive
3rd defense, she uses the 1 hit move instead of Frequency Disruptor. Defense phase ends right after.
4th turn, killed her.

I don't feel like trying to push the limits of Replakia/IPDs to see how many kills on Raki I can get.

I'm not exactly sure why NISA dropped the ball here but...this isn't really acceptable.

Oh nice.

That's 2 of their last 3 games with bad crash/freeze glitches now, isn't it? I heard Rhapsody DS tended to freeze a lot of the time when a certain musical sequence was supposed to start...

Sounds like they've got a bunch of interns with bad attitudes then if that's the case...

This really isn't good. They keep this trend up then NISA might just be considered 'sucking'.

Just read the topics on NISA's own board about the bugs. Apparently people there aren't particularly optimistic about getting any kind of response from NISA after the almost complete non-response to the Rhapsody DS situation...

In Rhapsody's case, all they ultimately did was offer a refund (which I wish I'd known about... ), so I doubt they'd do anything more than that for AT2... It's a shame, really.

Yea, I read those earlier today. It also seems that there are some that are taking the initiative to re-translate parts that are bad and attempt to fix that bug with the game.

Course, that doesn't help us with the discs. I'd have to find a way to finally get a hard drive to work with my older PS2. I use a slim-line one, primarily.

I guess it does have a full case of Lufia 2 syndrome.

Disappointing, to say the absolute least.

Oy. At least Disgaea DS wasn't chock-full of bugs, so that's... 1 for 3 like Ninetales said.

At least it's not a game-stopping bug but I doubt people will be pleased with a few save reloads to get past that part...

It more or less IS a game-stopping bug. After the third defense turn, it dies. Flat out.

So you have to kill this optional boss in order to get the 'correct' ending in three turns without the aforementioned method. To say the least...that's next to impossible.

Well, I meant that you need to follow that solution to get past that point.

Of course, if you don't know what you're doing...

Yea, hence NISA forums being overpopulated by that hate as well as most gaming forums.

I know there are some reviewers that are going to be down-rating this by this piece alone.

IGN's Sam Bishop did, and I remember reading that if he hadn't accidentally gotten past the fight that he would've been basically forced to give it a much worse rating than he did (8.4).

Yep...I was reading his comments on the NeoGAF forum. I kinda figured the only thing that was going to suffer severely was the presentation. He was taken with everything else with the 45 hours that he put into it.

It probably would've been 9 or next to 10 otherwise.

Looks like there was an ISO patch released which I'll have to apply when I grab the game.

Text string too long which equals buffer overflow? Smooth, NIS. Really smooth.

My opinion of NIS(A) has fallen though the floor... this kind of crap is unacceptable.

I guess BMF read something on IGN some forum where one of the editors had an off-the-record chat with the NISA guys, who said it wasn't going to be fixed because it didn't stop you from completing the game.

This enitre thing is almost as bad as Bubble Bobble Revolution's major bug, but at least Codemasters fixed that one.

The only thing I can say is if it was on the PS3, they could at least release a patch for it to deal with this kind of bullshit.

Unfortunately, it's not.
