Kamelot-Elizabeth

I just recently found out about Kamelot, and already they have dethroned all others as my favorite band! Intelligent, emotional, yet powerfully kick-ass! I guess you could call them intelligent goth power metal. Although this song isn't from their Black Halo album which is their best, and the disk I've been listening to non-stop for months, it's a nice sample of what the band can do.

The song is based off the actual story of Elizabeth Bathory, a.k.a the bloody countess, who tired to remain beautiful and young forever by bathing in the blood of virgins. She's believed to have killed over 600 people trying to accomplish this. It sounds sick but the song's awesome and focuses more on the themes of the story, vanity, beauty, growing old, innocence, and evil.

Their albums "Epica" and "The Black Halo" are both based off of Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe's Faust, and are even more awesome than this song.

Band: Los Campesinos!
Album: We Are beautiful, We Are Doomed

Adore this band and its quirky lyrics. Even though they pumped out two albums in 2008, I am anxiously awaiting for the next one.

Kamelot is actually pretty popular. Emerald Sword, Karma and The Black Halo are pretty popular tracks. They're around the same clique as Rhapsody, Dragonforce, Luca Turilli, Hammer Fall and Iron Mask. I'd get into those as well if Kamelot interests you.

You might also want to give Tarot a try. Haven't really listened to them too much, but it's some pretty good metal.
I gotta agree, Kamelot is pretty good, but it still doesn't dethrone Nightwish for me.

Right now I'm listening to Nightwish's Dark Passion Play album.

Listening to Ben Foster, who does the music for the Doctor Who TV series. Most of it sounds sad....

Strobe - Strobefluxian IV

MilkyTracker file. The best way I can really describe this in terms of genre is...like...hardcore electroshock. Like...next to seizurific after a point...but then again Strobe is kinda like that for a lot of the mods he's made, especially of this series.

I like Renard's music a lot so this is a nice one from his latest pseudonym.

Though I spent hours in this dungeon, the music was awesome.
