I'm also planning on getting a page for the enemies in there at some point too, though it's somewhat lower-priority at this point. Not sure what else I'll do with it, though...

Here's an note about skills: there are actually more than 8 skills available for characters to learn.

One of these is going to be a Heal skill. I'm think I'm going to reduce the HP/FP regeneration at the end of each floor after the end of 3F, and as soon you reach 4F, you will receive the Heal skill.

There's also a Star magic skill which is non-elemental, a ReturnPostage physical skill that deals damage based on damage taken, and an Angel skill which prevents lethal damage. All of these skills can be earned by leveling other skills to Lv.2 or higher.

Couple questions towards that:

1) Is the skill leveling going to be subject to 20 uses per level (i.e. the track of 5 points for use) and if so, won't that take an awfully long time over average uses per floor?

2) On Angel, do you mean lethal damage by stopping critical hit possibilities or do you mean enduring hits that would normally drop your HP to 0 and instead keep you at 1, enduring the hit?

Just a few things that come to mind.

Skills actually level faster as your character gains levels. The formula is (level*5)SkP per use, up to a maximum of 50SkP at level 10 or higher. So it's slow going at first, but once you hit character Lv.4 or 5 they'll gain levels much more quickly.

The latter is correct: Angel will drop your HP to 1, and will negate any possible status effects that attack might have inflicted. Meaning if you had 5HP left, cast Angel on yourself, and got hit by an attack that did 5 or more damage, you would have 1HP after the hit.

Angel is technically a "status effect" skill: It lasts for 3 turns after the initial casting, just like Braveheart or Shield. However, once you get hit, the status effect immediately disappears, so you can only endure 1 hit per cast of Angel. Once you get hit, you have to cast it again if you want to endure another hit.

Ah okay. I kinda figured it'd stay active until you were in a situation WHERE IF you got hit and it would kill you, then it would activate and you would have to recast it. OR IF you had only 1HP and you cast it, you would drop to 0 anyways since, like says Second Chance from KH, you must have that much in order for the effect to work.

So you basically have to guess if you're going to survive the attack or not. I guess that would work in cases of giant charge to endure (or guard) but outside of multi-turns that'd give a bit of guesswork in certain situations.

This is what I meant. The Angel effect won't trigger until you get hit with a fatal attack, so if you get hit by a non-lethal attack, it'll remain active (though it won't stay active more than 3 turns if you don't get hit with a fatal attack in that time). You can use it again at 1HP and survive another attack, though.

I know I am somewhat and I've got some ideas for what to do when the time comes. I know Kirbynite has some thoughts on the subject. Just wondering.

I wonder, why there isn't some sort of stealth or invisibilty skills for those who like to lurk in the darkness.

Like would give you bonus damage to your next attack, opponents can't target you, drops out when action is done, you can't check squares while in it and a chance to fall out of it every turn you don't do something.

EDIT: Of course, I'm always taking things a bit RPish, but I think I'm going to be a bit of a background character during these first games.

Uhhh... you are kinda late to the party you know...

Anyway, you can open a mystery item anytime in your turn, regardless of what else you do in it. Then you just get the item.
Guess you could open the mystery and use the item you get in the same turn, but that'd be using an item you don't know what it is, which is obviously not advisable considering you have to choose a target and it could be either a healing or damaging item...
