Eh, I disagree. It gets annoying when time is invested in rehashing a rehashed game instead of trying to shoot for the next mile.
Although, I never really picked up Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, so the Wii rerelease sounds a bit interesting... but still. So much more could be done, but instead, it's like watching a 2-gigabyte download take place on dial-up.
In the end, though, I guess it's been one of Nintendo's better recent ideas. :|

I still have issues with the GPU on the Wii, though, due to WiiConnect24 cooking it a while back... I'd be surprised if they haven't fixed that yet...

| Isn't Luigi's mansion the game that turned Luigi into a total dork? I mean really. I used to like Luigi when he was nothing more than a green pallet of Mario who in some games could jump higher. he's just such a dork now. it's unspeakable. |

I don't think he was a dork IN Luigi's Mansion. They made him kind of cowardly yes, but he still has a charm about him and it's still fun to play as him in it. However, Luigi's Mansion certainly paved the way for his dorkiness in nearly every game to come out since, and I do agree that Luigi was all downhill from there.

The only real negative impact Luigi's Mansion has had in my eyes is that Luigi will forever associated with ghosts, which at the same time might not be a bad thing, but it could stand out to many people as the only thing he's known for. His quirks and such were developed more in the Mario & Luigi games, but since the two were as a team, all the themes in the game like beans and babies were associated with both of them together.
What the Wii really needs is a good, original, innovative first-party game like Pikmin was for the Gamecube. They made Captain Rainbow, but considering how the rest of the game's cast consists of other Nintendo characters, it might not fit the bill.
I do like the Wii, and I think it has a lot of untapped potential. Because it's so popular and is marketed for everyone, it's bound to get shovelware titles. Look at the PlayStation 1/2. Though it does have a lot of good games, I won't deny that, it has the biggest game library ever, including lots of lots of generic and just plain bad games. I'd be curious to see how many generic sports games have been on released on it since it first came out.

Either that or just being scared silly at every turn... Whatever happened to Luigi beating SMB just as well as Mario... :/
