We usually don't have a whole lot of snow in Oregon, but there was quite a bit this time.School was closed the entire week before winter break was supposed to start, and heavy winds downed a power line. We lost power several days, including Christmas. Not much fun. :/

We've had some snow in the evening now, but it usually melts by next morning. It would be nice if we could have heavy snow before school starts again. D:

wow! that's really hot!

in my location, the roads are frozen, and there's snow and ice on the floor, but nothing too bad.

anyway pure ice is really beautiful with its lots of tiny bubbles inside

My brother commented earlier this week, I think, that this was the strangest winter ever. Usually it's all cold and snow where I live. (Southern Ontario, near SNN) This year it's randomly switching between winter and spring, like some earlier posts. The scenery doesn't change much, except where all the snow melts for a single day and it's still fucking cold, but it's bearable.

Good for me I don't have to go to school. The new school I'm enrolling in just rolls with the fact. The one I was in before always pecked at your damn neck going "Why aren't you coming here?" "We're getting our attendance counselor involved" and stuff like that.

We hadn't had these temperatures in several years.

-27°C ? it's really fucking cold compared to my country, where it's just cold enough for snow.

Today we had a horrible storm and it is supposed to continue until Saturday. Unfortunately it didn't start getting bad until around 7:30 and by that time it was already decided that the schools would stay open. It was a fun drive though, I only spotted one or two accidents on the way

Got the day off from school today due to icy road conditions this morning. It's been nice taking my bit of R&R, but although I'd like to go outside, it's super-ugly and gloomy. It's been either raining, snowing or overcast since the beginning of January, and I hate it.

Few sprinkles of rain, around 75F each day, with it being cold enough in the morning to just (barely) see yer breath.

The vicious cycle of melting/refreezing has begun. Sheer ice roads. Yay!

We actually got another 10 cm a couple days ago.
And then the aforementioned melting started.
