you got that right. the Wii remote is almost flawless. it amazes me how it can convert to a NES controller by just flipping it sideways. if I had known that the Wii remote could do that before it came out. I would have viewed that as a nightmare. I have no Problem controlling games like Super Mario Galaxy.

and yes. the warning screens are very annoying. but for me. it's easy to look past. I have Satellite internet. if you can get past the annoyance of that. you can get past just about anything.

Ever play MGS4? The entire time you install you're lectured about how close to the TV it is safe to sit, as well as the proper way to dispose of cigarettes so as not to cause bother to those around you.

Its hilarious than anything else, but don't act like it isn't there >3>

Well, they do need to give you something to look at while it installs =P

yeah, sure.

but usually when i install a game, i play antoher game on another console during the install. looking at the install process is quite boring.

Aside from Brawl, I don't really think it's worth my time.

I got myself a PS3. I give respect only to the 360 alongside of it as another gaming console. If you want a gaming system with simplistic gaming...sure I guess you can pick one up.

i think super mario galaxy could almost be played with a "standard" controller like dualshock3. but mario kart wii is really great when using the wiimote as a steering wheel!

i also have a ps3. the graphics are absolutely gorgeous!

if we had a mix of these consoles, ie a console which would have the power of the ps3 and wiimotes, it would be the best console ever.

Nintendo's warning screens are getting quite annoying. Every time I see the health and safety screen all I think about it "I didn't have any seizures while playing the Virtual Boy(lol) so why would I have any problems while playing this?". The wrist strap warning screens because you usually have to wait a few seconds before you are able to skip them. I took the wrist strap off of my Wii remote because it was constantly digging into my hand while holding it side ways to play VC games. I haven't thrown it yet but if I do I am prepared to pay the very hilarious consequence of destroying my fairly inexpensive TV

yeah, i agree, the most annoying screens are the wrist strap ones which show up when you start a game. the screen appearing when you turn on your wii can be skipped in half a second.

plus, when playing some games like mario kart or mario galaxy, you don't really need the wrist strap. you need it for games which make you move more, like sport games (tennis, boxing...).

EDIT: but i still care about the wrist strap as my tv is surely not as inexpensive as yours.

Fun fact: None of my wiimotes have the wrist strap on them. They annoyed me so I took them off and who knows where they are by now.

Fun fact: My friend knows that the Wiimotes don't require a lot of motion to make them work, but he accidentally threw it and it flew across the room narrowly missing the TV.

*Hint: He wasn't wearing a wrist strap.

you've been lucky
btw, you're right, wii games don't require huge moves with wiimotes. in most cases you can play with reasonable moves.

My Wii collects dust. I'll occasionally turn it on to check my weight with Wii Fit or to just mess around, but after a while, I'll get bored with it. I see it as a HUGE gimmick. I would hear stories at my old job about people who bought the Wii and how after a few months, it starts to collect dust and they wonder why they ever got it.

For the first time, I'm actually considering buying a 360 if I had enough loose money. There's just so few good Wii games right now. I was in a Gamestop the other day looking for a game to get and couldn't find ANYTHING I wanted for Wii. Nothing. It was that bad. So with all the 360 playing I've been doing with my friend at his house, I'm almost ready to buy one, which is unheard of for me. We've been a Nintendo household since I got my Gameboy at 5 years old. Never once before have I bought any non-Nintendo system. I've been that staunch a Nintendo gamer. But now....

Hey, a 360 isn't a bad idea at this time. It has proven that an online service you pay for monthly is wonderful, especially with how many things support it.

My Wii is actually sitting next to me right now, unconnected. In fact, in the past month my Wii has less playtime than my Xbox and I only played that today for about 3 hours.

It has went from a video game console to a toy in my eyes. The last game I am looking forward to is Madworld. Hopefully that doesn't disappoint.

The only things keeping me from replacing the Wii with a 360 right now are a) money and b) the RRoD problem.

(and c) WarioLand: Shake It!, but one game only lasts so long)

I thought they'd fixed the RRoD by now?

It still happens.

Not as often, but it still happens. When it does you just send it back and they give you a replacement.

Ah okay, so it's more isolated now. Still, I don't think that'd be a reason for me to not get one. Basically it's just a matter of money since now that I'mn away at college my parents don't really have a say in what I do and don't buy. (Hint: They don't like us playing games a lot because they think it distracts us too much. I'll tell you what, internet distracts me more than video games ever will. And hey, it's not like either kept me from getting into my first choice college and major!)

Have a few online friends to play with and you'll be loving your 360. Main reason I want one is for online gaming with friends, something the Wii is heavily lacking on.

I'll bet. Only problem is that when it comes to online stuff at college, it's iffy. Often Xbox Live doesn't work. Hell, I can't even get fucking Skype to work. HELL, I can't even get YOUTUBE to load fast. The campus sucks all the bandwidth during the day. Oh well, at least I'd still have decent games to play on the 360.
