(Wow, I haven't made a poll in ages......)


Just wondering, with this cold/flu going around everywhere, how many people here got sick during the holiday?

I've known and been around several people who were sick, yet I haven't gotten sick myself. My allergist told me that many people who take xolair (a shot in the arm) every month tend to build a better immune against getting colds. Normally, I would have gotten sick already, but I guess my immune system has gotten stronger.

Yep. I still am too, but it started around Christmas when I lost my voice. I've been slowly getting it back, but now I've got the coughing and the runny nose and the sore throat... again...

Last night was the first time that I felt sick, I think it was because I ate and drank way to much . I woke up today feeling perfect though so I guess that I wasn't really sick.

Haven't got sick so far, luckily. I hope it stays that way, the cold weather isn't over just yet..

My nose feels a tiny bit stuffed sometimes, but it's always like that so it's nothing special.

Kinda. I've seemed to have this cough since the start of the month from another sickness, and I don't know why. It hasn't gotten to any bad status, but there's hardly been any type of improvement either. At least it's only a cough. (That has lasted for over a month.)

Yep.

And despite my better judgement, I haven't taken time off aside from vacation for a single sick day for about four or five (or six) months. Last I took I walked out of the office at about 10 AM REALLY bad off.

Once I can almost certainly pin on a manager showing up to work sick and no one coming in to replace her. This morning's I'm not sure about, may have just overeaten last night or ate something that didn't quite agree with me.

Nope.

I never really get sick at this time of year. I might have a stuffed nose one in a while, but it's mostly during summer when I really get sick.

Nope! And I'm REALLY surprised considering everyone else around me at work is hacking their head off.

So almost everyone at work is sick. My assistant manager called out on Friday and had to leave work early yesterday because he was sick. I would have to stay that 75% of my staff is sick right now.
