Might as well get a jump start on the new stuff coming out this year, hm? For this, I'm just focusing on games scheduled to come out in the first quarter of 2008, but who knows what's going to be announced in the next few months...
My list is pretty DS intensive. 
Sonic and the Black Knight (Wii) - Usually I see Secret Rings in stores for $20. And I'm led to believe that it's probably worth $20. Yet I never pick it up for some unknown reason even though it seems like good value for money (and I've never seen Boom Blox on sale EVER) so I don't have a frame of reference for this one. If people say it's a good Sonic game, then maybe I'll pick it up. I can't see it being worse than Unleashed, however... I'm cautiously optimistic here but I really should buy Secret Rings.
(To be fair, I should start going through the Wii release list because there's quite a few titles I'd like to have but the problem is that stores around here know profit when they see it and rarely mark down the good games. Zelda still sells for $60! I can afford those prices but not when there's gouging going on.)
((...on another random note, I should grab World of Goo at some point. Anyways...)
Puzzle Quest: Galactrix (DS) - Oh, come on. It's PUZZLE QUEST, it's a new system and it's likely going to be a timesink. Yes please.
Suikoden Tierkreis (DS) - You know, I've never played a Suikoden game... seems like a good time to start.
Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure (DS) - This game seems to be one-half platformer and one-half Tetris Attack. And it's an original IP by EA, so... all in all, this looks extremely promising.
Retro Game Challenge (DS) - It's the Game Center CX game that was released in Japan. I tried it and it's REALLY good... plus even though XSEED is publishing it here, it's a Namco Bandai game and the games are all modeled after classic Famicom games. Potential to be a sleeper hit here but I doubt it'll have a large shipment.
Not a whole lot coming out for PS2 (Ar Tonelico 2 seems to be the best of the bunch but I haven't even played the original so yeah), and while some people might be looking at a handful of PS3 and 360 games... there is a little game coming out in February that a few of you might have heard of. Street Fighter IV.
So, any games coming out in the next couple of months that you're ready to slap down cash for? Or anything that you hope gets released soon or ported from Japan?

I'm looking forward to Metroid Prime 1 & 2 for Wii. I don't care that I own them both for GC, playing Prime 1 with Wii controls somehow makes such a perfect game even more perfect!
I'm also hoping that the Strong Bad WiiWare games get released as a full set of all 5 games at some point. I'd rather buy them that way since I don't exactly feel like dumping $50 more off my credit card after the $30 I just spent on World of Goo and Sonic 2/3.
Of course, I'm also hoping for new Zelda news this year.  Aside from that, I would like it if Nintendo would surprise us with something. Golden Sun 3 would be awesome... *dreams*
(And Colin, buy World of Goo. It's a fantastic game.)

| Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter IV. At least I know that those two will come out next year.
As far as games that I hope will come out next year but I won't be surprised that they don't: Final Fantasy Dissida, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus, Bioshock 2.

I'm still waiting for Disgaea 2 DS and Phantom Brave Wii to come out, as well as both Pikmin and Pikmin 2 onto the Wii if they're different enough.
