It's that time of year again, and since I felt in a creative mood, I decided to make a romhack with a christmas-y theme.

You play as Toad, who must save his sister and his presents from Santa's evil brother(Claud).

Not that I really care for it, as it seems way too easy to get stuck in certain areas (easy to run past the end-level block) and in some cases it's easy to get stuck.

The music really breaks in some areas too, so eh.

I knew I forgot something, I forgot to add scroll stop blocks at the end of the stages X_x.
Sigh, I will update the patch later on, possibly when I am bored tomorrow waiting for Christmas.
Xkeeper, is there any other spots besides the end Of level areas?


Fixed everything but the music... I think.

Remember, invisible coin blocks are around in spots that you would normally get stuck in!

It was actually a pretty nice little hack. I definitely liked the changes that you made to the graphics. It's hard to find even moderately good SMB hacks today considering how many bad ones there are out there

In the description, you should mention what game this is a hack OF. Is it a Super Mario World hack, a Metroid Hack, Super Mario Bros...

Also, dammit, I have to update the patch again. The castle was moved one too far left.

I'll post when Romhacking.net updates the patch.

Edit: See download link at the top, if the version you get is 1.5 it's the fixed one!

If you honestly cannot tell what it is a hack of by the screenshots, you have no business ever playing NES ROM hacks.

No, I can tell that it's a Mario 1 hack, but if it wasn't obvious, or a noob came, they'd want to know what game it was first. Besides, I could easilly hack Mario World to use 8 bit graphics. (Which surprisingly, I have yet to see in one of those Mario World=Mario 1 hacks.

I already said I know its a mario 1 hack, Im just saying, you know what, never mind. I know enough from the last time I almost got banned to just stop here. Anyway, I do love the hack! It really was made nicely. Cant wait to finish it.

Hehe, this is a nifty hack indeed. Short and sweet, and better than most all SMB1 hacks. Even though Toad gets stuck after hitting the end of level block in the second level and the snowball power up is all wierd, this is still the type of hack that inspires me to go back to all my old projects. Good stuff DarkData.

Fixed in the update patch on Romhackingdotnet.

Even if you are having troubles with it, (not that you should, since 1-1 exit is the same as 1-2 exit) stand still before hitting the block.


As for the snowball, I am just happy it works.

Sorta.

At least it does not crash the game!
