Use the Lottery in Jubilife City. It's easy as can be to win it: save before you talk to the guy, get the numbers. If it doesn't match, write down what the numbers are, shut off the DS, and find someone with that trainer ID and make a trade.

It takes a while but it is completely possible to farm Master Balls this way

Cloning Master Balls saves you from that headache of Mean Looking it.

Also, Palkia or Dialga depending on your version are ridiculously easy to catch. Their catch rate is much higher than any other legendary in the entire series. The catch rate is 30 for those 2 legendaries. Every other legendary has a catch rate of around 3.

I pity da fool who wastes their last Master Ball on Palkia or Dialga.

I must be silly, stupid, or somewhere in between, since I caught Dialga in a Premiere Ball (3rd try, and lucky too, since I only had 3 at the time ) and caught Mesprit, Uxie, and Azelf all in regular Poké Balls.

Only game I ever used my Master Ball in was Gold, as I didn't want to train long enough to be able to take down Lugia.

Dusk balls make catching legendary pokemon easy.

Unless I'm playing the game really late. Because the game thinks 7:00 AM is the morning or something.
