Bjorn coughed his whisky up. He certainly wasn't expecting an alliance from Northwall, as desperate it was. "My offer actually passed?" he thought, looking through the alliance deal once more. Bjorn glanced at the glass of whisky... and threw it out of the window. He pressed the blue button again.

"Sir?"

"Start gatherin' ta troops, rally ta warboats and put de whole country into War State 2."

"Yes, sir."

"An' ye start watering down the booze and limit the amount of it brought to the soldiers. Say it's for war funds and tell em dey gonna get aloff better things when ta war ends. I'm a man of my word and when ta war ends... we gonna pay ta bills for Northwall, arr!"

"Yes, sir. Do you wish for me to supress any riots caused by this?"

"Arr!"

"Yes, sir. And if I might add, that's the best order you've given in three months."

"Shud'dup. Start makeen me a escort to Northwall. I need ta meet the lady in charge, so we can discuss aboot de strategies of dis war. An' ask ta men make me a suit, dis old one starteen ta stink and I dun' think it would fit there. An' fetch me my metal bootleg too, make eet shiny and all."

"Yes, sir. And oh, there has been a few more alliance requests, from two different countries. What do you wish to do with them?"

"Turn em down. We are not takin' any risks now, we might shatter our alliance with Northwall if we agreed to any other alliances now, arr."

"Sir, they have promised great amounts of weaponry and training for soldiers. Are you sure?"

"...yes. Northwall ees still de closest neighbour ta us. Let's see ferst what do they think aboot things before thinkin' anythin'."

"Yes, sir."

Bjorn clicked off the microphone and looked at his amazingly detailed miniature ship, standing proudly on the desk. He gently patted it and checked if the small cannon on it worked. It shooted a small metal ball, which hitted a gong on the other side of the room. He started to laugh.

"Mabbe we can win ta war an' have a nice party at de end!"

Incoming call. Press Select to accept.

*Battleships special mission 1 through 6, do you have the rebellion battleships in sight?

*Yes sir, We're coming up behind them. They are about 6 hours from the shores of Dixie.

*Hmm... That should be plenty of time. What about the Cruisers?

*The special fleet of cruisers you ordered is just about done cleaning them up!

*Alright, this seems like it will be a short rebellion! To bad we have to lose those ships though...

*Yes... I really enjoyed commanding the Acer before it was taken...

*I give you permission to fire on battleships Uniden, Acer, and DURABriter. Those names should be on the side of the ships. DON'T fire until you confirm those names.

*...Names confirmed! Open fire everyone! Sink the ship! I'll call you back when we're done Hank

*Roger that.

Call Ended.

Missile after missile streaked towards the rebellion battleships from the other 6 battleships.

Hahahahaha! Our government is great! I don't see why you guys rebelled in the first place...

Incoming call. Press Select to accept.

What? That's weird...

*Yes, this is battleship special mission 1, go ahead.

*This is battleship Uniden! Cease fire!

*What!? A rebellion ship is telling us to cease fire on it!? Ha!

*You're making a mistake! Shirakawa isn't fit to be ruled by the TecOnMoon!

*Oh really? There's been no problems until this war was declared. Seems like you little pretty boys just got scared at nothing. Eat this!

*NOOO!! (throngs of screams through the mic)

*Bzzt

Call Ended.

Outgoing call. Waiting for remote side...

*General Hank here, what's your status?

*The rebellion has been completely wiped out. No survivors.

*Good. Return to Shirakawa for further orders.

*Yes sir.

Call Ended.

I meant things like attacking another country like that and obliterating a player from the game entirely. Small attacking forces are fine, and as you said, they were your rebels.

"What do you have for me today, Sister Arya?"

Arya bowed, and presented her liege with two letters. "Milord, we have recieved two more requests for alliance.

"Let's see here..."Melisandre opened the first letter with a swift motion of her ceremonial dagger. "Ah! A request from the Republic of Dixie?" She laughed, jumping at the thought. "Things must be going royally wrong, if those sexist Dixies are calling us for help! The irony!"

"Forgive me for asking, Your Holiness," Arya interrupted. "but you seem rather pleased at their request. Perhaps finally, an alliance worth having?"

"Of course. Out of all the other nations of this world, the Republic of Dixie comes closest to our methods. So close, in fact, that the only thing that might set us apart is the fact that we believe in different gods. Strategically speaking, Dixie has the strongest land forces on the planet, a department which is rather lacking on our side, even with Mother Rougemort's recent inventions... As an added bonus, their populace is predominantly male, thanks to their strong patriarchal society." Melisandre unscrewed a fountain pen and proceeded to sign a reply. "Here. Have it sent to President Rebel's office posthaste."

"But, Your Holiness, you didn't even read--" *FWOOM*

Melisandre opened her hand and let the ashes fall on the shining marble floor.
"What other request?"

"Understood, Lord Melisandre." Arya bowed and proceeded to leave the room.

"Now then," Melisandre rose from her throne. "If you'll excuse me, I shall retire to my chamber to prepare my message to the Church."

"The Holy War is about to begin..." she thought. "All according to plan, my Overlord..."

OOC: Shiiit.

Poring over the alliance request replies, Yü Jèi noted the responses from the other nations.

"It appears that the best course of action would be to avoid any warfare when possible. It doesn't help that Spire Ones importance was entirely misunderstood by Northwall. That said, they accepted an alliance proposal with our ally, so I'm not sure where that leaves us in relation to them."

Pulling up a pair of reports marked with an abstract tower and the number one in them, Yü Jèi checked the status on the construction of Spire One.

"Hm, power's been connected for almost the entire complex now, and most of the computer systems are working. This is good, I suppose soon Spire One will be finished. If only some nations could see that it's meant to be a symbol of peace, not war... Now, on to more pressing matters."

Yü Jèi pulled up a display of the recent tensions between Shirakawa and Dixie on his computer, and began to read.

"This puts us in a very awkward position..."

OOhhh... This war hasn't technically started and it's already confusing...

Outgoing call. Waiting for remote side...

*General Hank here. How can I help you Base?

*Hank, pull all pending alliance requests and terminate all current ones, if any.

*What...?

*Just do it.

Call Ended.

*sigh* I made so many mistakes in these first few days. Well now that the special assignment battleships have returned, I can start fresh without those alliances.

"...And we still haven't gotten a reply from The Union of Crabs?"

"Right. Ol' Straw-Leg's still busy with his trip to Northwall, but Agent Teach is sayin' he will turn us down."

We are aware of your plans. If you don't want to see your petty nation reduced to ashes, you'll surrender to me. If you do not agree to my demands, I'll be forced to show no mercy to both your country and your worthless little moon base.

After another inspection of the blockade at the coast, Rebel is driven home by Priv. Alexander who insisted on driving him this time.

"Now don't go so fast, Mr. Alexander! I recognize our current situation requires much haste in making it to several places, but to exceed the speed limit to such an extent!..."

"Awww... Comon' Sir! I'm just gettin' started! We're about to break 120 MPH--"

*BOOOOOOOOooooooooooom* A massive explosion from the coast set the sky aflame.

*SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee---BAAAM!*

The car spun out, crashing into a stone wall on the side of the sandy asphalt road. Before Rebel could even get back to the Country House, hell had broken loose at the coast. The president looked over to see sky aflame.

"WHAT IN SAM HILL!... Alexander! Take me back! I must see what is the matter! Alexander! Oh dear God Almighty..."

Rebel peered over into the driver's seat to see Priv. Alexander with his face smashed into the steering wheel. He was likely to be dead, but Rebel was unsure.

"Oh God... Why?... He was so young... . . . Please Lord, I know he was a reckless youngin' but please see it in your mighty and all lovin' heart to let him into your domain without any trouble... But if he's fine... Please... Let him recover well... Amen..."

Rebel climbed out of car, bleeding from his cheek, and made his way to what seemed like a small farm across the road. A family ran outside to see the explosion and quickly caught glimpse of Rebel walking their way.

"Why... Why you're President Rebel! What are the likes of you doin' out here! Do you know where that noise came fr--"

"Sir, I appreciate your concern, but I'll be needing someone to care for the boy in yonder car and any means of transportation to the coast immediately!"

"Well look at your head! It's bleedin'! let's go fix it u--"

"NO! What I need someone to attend to a young boy in that car yonder! I need a transport! I NEED TO GET TO THE COAST SIR!"

"Y-yes sir... We don't have a car available - the boy's taken it out - but we do have many a' the finest horses on the Dixie Coast! Come! Take your pick!"

"Look, I can get a horse just fine by myself... Just attend to the boy! And... I'm... Much obliged..."

President Rebel takes off on the horse, leaving Priv. Alexander in the hands of the unknown family. He heads south towards the beaches. Along his ride, the once peaceful coastal towns he had driven through were now decimated. He rode as far as he could until he realized there simply was no purpose, if this area was gone, the chances of the naval outpost ahead being there were slim to none...

"God Damn... Shirakawa... You're dead..."

No.

Teconmoon, I said specifically in the rules that I'm disallowing super-attacks. You blowing up the moon and sinking an entire country definitely counts as a super-attack. I'm undoing your previous post and want you to do it again, this time with a more reasonable response.

This goes as a warning to all players. No super-attacks that will wipe out entire nations in one turn.

Edit: Added Rule 6 to the first post, concerning extent of player control over their opponent's actions when posting and giving the opposing player time to react to your post.

*Base?

*Yes Hank?

*Dixie has been attacked, and they've automatically assumed it was us...

*sigh, they WOULD wouldn't they? Damn Dixies... WHY CAN'T PEOPLE WAIT FOR US TO ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING WRONG!?

*That's the thing sir... You remember that secret weapon? Well... it...

*What is it? Out with it!

*I don't know how, as robots shouldn't be able to think like this, but it's decided with the power source we gave it, that it was too powerful to be given orders. The AI production lab has been completely destroyed by it and it's left Shirakawa...

*What!? Damn it... Didn't they set it's allegiance settings to Shirakawa before they turned the damn thing on!? It's going to go on a rampage on anything if nothing was set!

*Well, uh... I don't think they...

*Prepare reception pad number 3, I'm coming down there.

*Sir!

*I'll have the base do a self-destruct shortly after.

*Reception pad number 3 ready sir. Good luck.

*See you there Hank.

Grand Cathedral, Sacred Bastion Granus, Northwall

♪Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 OST1 - Beautiful Emperor.mp3

The Grand Cathedral of Granus. This enormous structure at the heart of the Sacred Bastion served as both the holy see of the Granus movement and as the center of Northwall's theocratic government.

Today was a day of glorious celebration. The Matriarch had called the citizenry to assemble for an important message. The Reverends had secretly built up a war mentality deep inside the people's minds, and given the current news, everyone was unconsciously expecting Northwall to finally join the fray.

Dressed in full papal regalia, Lord Melisandre's arrival was received with much fanfare and cheers from the nearly 60,000 devout followers that had gathered today to witness this historic event. The message would be broadcasted live all across Northwall, so that no citizen would remain un-brainwashed in the dark about the current situation.

As soon as her sequitur of high priests and priestesses took their positions alongside her, Melisandre stepped forward to the altar and began addressing the people.

"Citizens of Northwall! Children of Granus, one and all! Rejoice, for the day of reckoning has come at last!" Several cheers from the audience were encouraging her to go on. "The day when we shall extend God's will across the four corners of the world! Our sublime duty: To spread the word of Granus to the heathen masses, and those who refuse it shall br crushed by the mighty wrath of our Lord Granus!"

The cheers grew louder as Melisandre paused for a moment to adjust her microphone.

"The road ahead shall be long and harsh, paved with the blood of our sacrifice. But fear not, my children! For even the heathens are beginning to accept the light, and have agreed to help us on our noble mission! The Union of Crabs has agreed to send us their young men so that we may educate them in the ways of our Lord, and the Republic of Dixie will support us in the battle against heathenism!" More cheering ensued.

"Now, for the success of our great crusade, let us pray..."

Sitting in one of the front pews, Katreia attended the ceremony disguised as an upper-class young woman, dressed in flamboyant white hat and fur coat, easily distinguished by her blood-red hair and eyes. She chuckled, greatly satisfied by Melisandre's performance. "And so the gates have been opened... Yes, soon, very soon... Heh heh heh."

The scene pans out as the children's choir began singing their prayer hymns amidst the diminishing cheers of the audience.

==============================================================================================

Meanwhile, somewhere deep inside the tundran wastelands...

Arya, still dressed in church gear, was checking around the base making sure the final preparations were in place. The Matriarch had secretly given orders to mobilize Northwall's aerial forces as a preventive measure against possible enemy attack. The other nations wer also preparing for war, and they didn't want to take any chances.

"Father Apos, is everything ready?"

"Yes, Sister Arya. It appears that both Dixie and Hisland are beginning to move on Shirakawa. No doubt a battle will erupt in a matter of hours."

"Very well. I want all units to form a perimeter around the southern cape and observe the battle from a safe distance beyond the enemy radar's reach. Send the Odessa and Carisma to the outer isles of the UoC as backup in case the other nations attempt to take advantage of the confusion."

"As you wish, milady." Apos pushed a button on his intercom. "All units, move out! May the light of Granus be with you."

A number of Su-34s and MiGs launched from the strips and flew off into the horizon. Five large airships, built with the aid of the demons' technology, launched from the open docks in different directions, each towards a different strategic point on the frontline.

Arya saluted at the departing troops. "Good luck..."

Out of Character.

Whenever you post and do something in this war, please add a bold note to the end of your post, tl;dr form, so that everyone can easily read what you are doing.

Example:

Bjorn's mighty nuke-armed boat had already taken fast pre-emptive movements and easily dodged the missiles shot by the puny Kawan flying robots.

Union warboat dodged missiles launched by Shirakawan robots.

---------------

The trip to Northwall was a fast one. Get there, get introduced, get told that high priestess isn't taking anyone today, get back home.

Bjorn stood on the balcony of his manor and looked down to the masses, which had gathered there to hear out the current situation. Bjorn took a sip of water and motioned the audience to "shut dat speakin' down". Of course, it took about five minutes before anyone even saw Bjorn.

"Allright, mates! Start lissenin' now! Ta war is starting and we don' want to be left out, don't we? After all wha' those landlubbers did to our crabs, our main source of gold!"

The masses cheered and threw bottles at Bjorn.

"I have made a deal with Northwall an' they be helpin' us in this war! Ya know, those fine ladies, who killed you if ya even looked at them? They are helpin' us, so don't go grabbin' their booty till the war is over! There will be enough for everyone!"

Bjorn gazed at the masses, gave a wide smile and clapped his hands.

"First stop of stealin', lootin' and killin' in Optium! Get ta boats ready and arm dem with Crab Bombs! After half of dem are ready, send em to the shores, bu' no shootin' till everyone is dere! Then we bomb 'em to crab cakes, arrr! The other half will stay as reserves! Get de otha weapons an' troops ready!"

The masses started moving towards the docks and Bjorn went back inside, sat on his bench and contacted the tactical department. Blue button, yes.

"Yes, sir?"

"Situation wid booze."

"Only a few riots, which were easily squenched."

"Good. Send an strategy report to ta high priestess. Tell her we be goin' fo' Optium now an' if she's got anythin' against dat, tell her to contact ma as soon as possible."

"Yes, sir. Are you joining the battle today?"

"Na, I'm still overlookin' de building of ta secret weapon. Gonna take shum time till it's ready."

"Yes, sir."

Half of the current warboats armed with Crab Bombs have been sent to the northern shore of Optium. Bombing soon. Message about this sent to Northwall.

I actually like Pandaren's idea. It's nice to have a clear summary of what's going on and the player's intentions in a post instead of trying to fully interpret it from the detailed conversation and the like in the post. Do you guys agree? I'll make it Rule 7 if enough of you agree.

Out of Chapter

The country name is Optimum, which means "the best" in Latin.

----

It's mid-day, and the leaders meet on the current situation in the capital.

General : "We've received word that the Union of Crabs has sent bombs to our norther shore."
Crustum: "Hahaha! They think that these bombs will get us? We're war professionals!"
General : "They're also pairing with Northwall on this, but why us?"
Crustum: "Who knows, but I have a plan. SW!"
Secretary of War (SW): "Yes?"
Crustum: "Send a crew to deactivate them. In the mean time, send a fleet of subs to our north, and north-western shore, in case they plan on invading us by ship."
SW : "Yes, but I need to remind you, we have a large portion of our navy to the south."
General : "I'll give the command to move at least 2/3 of them more northern."
Crustum: "Good."

----

In summary:

A bomb crew was sent to my shoreline. Submarines are stationed slightly north to the shores, in defense.

Crabs to move.
