I know someone that doesn't even have a turntable for his vinyls but buys them anyway to support the artists.

Digital audio is actually becoming really popular to DJs nowadays. I never heard of harsh perfection though.

Then again I have a TON of vinyl rips (somewhere like 10 gigs of it downloaded) and they vary between awesome and flat out disgusting. All depends on the rippers, I guess.
