Seeing that nobody has taken the last spot, I might as well take it

Land: Central Leftmost Island
Color: Orange
Name: Hisland
Population: 7.7 Million
Capital: Rapture City
Leader: Supreme Commander Zaroff the Magnificent

Back Story: Not much is left of Hisland's early history (You can thank Zaroff for taking all of the history books for himself to study), but in recent history, Hisland was a broken up country simply called "The Land" by it's residents. Often, the three countries (Rapture, The Republic of Jericho, and Outland) fought each other over land. Eventually, General Zaroff succeeded from Outland, took his army, and joined forces with the army of Rapture and conquered both The Republic of Jericho and Ourland. Rapture's people then knew him as Zaroff the Great. When Rapture's king died, Zaroff overthrew the Monarchy, and formed a new militaristic country, with him as Supreme Commander. He named it Hisland, referring to himself, and titled himself "The Magnificent"

EDIT: Hisland is average in all military tech. Their one strong point is that they often have above average tactics.

Zaroff may be power hungry and arrogant, but he knows the importance of a strong ally. (Open to a few ally requests)

*Uhh.... What? Is that still thing still on? Base to General Hank?

*...yes?

*I've slept on it.

*...on what?

*Tell them I don't think the alliance is necessary.

*OK sir. *yawn*

*What's the status of my secret weapon, finished yet?

*Almost sir. We are programing it to respond to the power from these things you sent us. They're crazy!

*OK, just make sure the defensive barrier stays up for now. Base out.

Call ended.

President Rebel stands on the northern beaches of Dixie with Naval Admiral J.M. Newland, Commander of the Confederate Navy. The Admiral sets up a telescope on an observation post and beckons the President to take a look.

"Well Mister Rebel. If you look past yon rocks ther, you kin see them 'Kawan ships."

The president peers through, seeing three Shirakawan battleships and quite a few cruisers.

"So they really are blockadin' us... Seems we've been caught with our trousers down, eh Mister Newland?"

"Seems so... Who'd have thought the Shirakawans would want to go startin' something with us... Makes no sense whatsaevah..."

President Rebel moves his face away from the telescope for a moment and looks up at the Navy Commander.

"To be honest with ya... I don't have the darndest clue... Intelligence kept pointing to the 'kawans focusing their forces on the moon. Seems like they've been working on a new weapon. Maybe they're fittin' to have us as their first guinea pig..."

"Well... If I may suggest something 'Navy-wise' sir. I think it'd be best if the Navy lay low for the time being. We can't git our ships out there... They've sealed us up tight!"

"Sounds like we'll need be fixin' for a land invasion then. We can't have them' ports blocked for long though. You know, sir, our nation relies on its exports..."

"I understand that sir..."

"Well here's my plan.--"

President Rebel takes one last look through the glasses and then looks over at his aide and resumes speaking.

"Mr. Alexander, would you please see to it that -- when we are back at the Country House -- the nations of Lumì and One Human are contacted. I would like to request naval support from Lumì and any ask for any intelligence they have on the current status of the Shirakawans on the Moon. As for One Human... Ask if they are willing to ally with us and provide us with naval support as well."

The President then departs, leaving the admiral and the gold sandy beaches of Dixie. He heads back towards the Country House with the full intention of seeing that these planned alliances are made.

Zaroff sits in his throne pondering an old book in his hands.

"Supreme Commander Zaroff the Magnificent, Sir, have you reached a conclusion?"

"Don't sneak up on me, General. You know how I hate to be surprised."

"I-I apologize, Sir."

"Apology accepted. Now, these Lumì people seem to be attempting to form a rather large alliance, correct?"

"Correct, Sir. They've sent an ambassador to every known nation in the world. As far as we can tell, their goal is world peace."

"Heh... You and I know better than anyone how well these World Alliance plans work. These fools have obviously never studied history."

"Yes, well, Lumì is far ahead of us, technologically speaking, and we could use their resources..."

Zaroff snaps his book shut and impatiently rises from his throne.

"Look, Durandal, these people obviously don't have what it takes to make my dream a reality. As our history suggests, we need a strong ally like ourselves to rise to victory. People like these wishful thinkers haven't done anything but die at the hands of the strong. Strong people like ourselves are under no obligation to make peace with these weaklings.
Do you understand, General?"

"I... I understand, Sir."

"Good. Now, contact Yü Jèi and say that we have no interest in joining their petty alliance, and ready our legions. Our spies have been sending us reports on both the Confederate Republic of Dixie and Shirakawa, and I don't like what I see.
Take a look at these papers."

"...What? Do you really think we'll be seeing the legendary Great War play out before our eyes?"

"Perhaps. I've been suspecting it for a long time, now. Everything matches up, and I sense great tension between the World's leaders.
Now, you had orders to carry out, correct?"

"...Right away, Supreme Commander."

General Durandal salutes Zaroff and walks out of the room. Zaroff gently sits back in his throne. He opens his book yet again as he twirls his long white mustache with his finger...

Meanwhile at the capital, the nation's two most powerful leaders ponder...

Secretary of Foreign Affairs (SFA): "Mr.Crustum, we have a situation."

Crustum (Director of the State): "I'm fully aware. The military has already informed me of what could be the most catastrophic war in history."

SFA: "So do you know what this means?"

Crustum: "Yes, and I'm glad. This could give us a chance to become a world superpower!"

SFA: "I don't believe it will go that far, sir."

Crustum: "Really now? Our prime exports have gone up 215% within the last decade. I believe quite to the contrary..."

SFA: "Hold on, we've lost most of our good imports. Doesn't that mean something!"

The director glances over a large board filed with pins near his desk.

Crustum: "Mr.Secretary, do you know what this is?"

SFA: "Yes. It's the locations of..."

Crustum: "Shush! Someone could be ease dropping!"

The two converse very silently, as if it were of the most importance...

The Union of Crabs celebrated their first victory... of rejecting an alliance. Still a bit drunken and already suffering from an headache, Bjorn sat on his bench. He poured a glass of whisky, his usual breakfast and looked out of the window. "Well, there's the whole country, suffering from hangover, dat's fo' sure." he thought and closed his eyes. Even if he was a drunken idiot, he did know that war didn't fight for itself. The Union was still too new - no one really was disciplined, everyone was drinking and when you asked someone to help, you didn't really expect anything off them.

"Hell, as foolish at is sounds, I tink we need some landlubbers help." Bjorn thought and sighed.

He smashed the blue button on his table.

"Yes, sir?"

"Send an alliance request to Northwall, asap."

"But sir, as far as I know, they have denied all of your requests till this day."

"I know, but just send one. I don't know if it helps anything, but add in there, that we will supply any amount of young, strong and booze-free men when the war is over."

"But sir, that's--!"

"Just do it."

Bjorn clicked the microphone off. If they wouldn't alliance with the Union, it could possibly be the end of the whole country... maybe. "...fuck" Bjorn sighed and took a deep sip of the whisky.

Base: GENERAL HANK!!

General Hank: What!?

Base: My radar shows three of our battleships and many cruisers headed towards the northern beaches of Dixie! WHO ordered them to leave?!

General Hank: AH! I don't know sir!

Base: Well contact them and turn them around!

General Hank: Yes sir!

*bzzt*
____________________________________________________

General Hank: General Hank calling Battleships Uniden, Acer, and DURABriter, who gave you permission to leave Shirakawa?!

Unknown: The current government of Shirakawa isn't fit to give us orders! We are going to overthrow the current government, and what better way to do that than screwing up war plans?

General Hank: Remember your place, you rebels!

Unknown: We know our place! We are on these ships going to attack the Confederate Republic of Dixie under Shirakawa's name.

*Bzzt*
____________________________________________________

General Hank: Base, it appears the ships are being captained by rebels wanting to overthrow our government!

Base: What?! I will not tolerate this treason! Activate the self-destruct sequence on those ships!

General Hank: I already tried, they've disarmed the bomb.

Base: Grrr... fine. Send a message to Dixie. Tell them the situation with the rebels and request an alliance. Send out double of whatever they've taken and destroy them!

*Bzzt*
____________________________________________________

Edit:

Base: General Hank! You still there?

General Hank: Yes sir!

Base: Cancel that alliance request, but still tell them about the rebels. And accept the alliance request from Lumì. That's faster. Grrr... This rebel business REALLY pisses me off... WHAT is wrong with our government that makes it not good enough for them?!

General Hank: I don't know sir, but I've just now sent Dixie a report of the situation and have told Lumì that we accept their alliance.

"Another alliance request?" Melisandre raised an eyebrow. That was the second one this week. What could possibly be going on? "Well, who is it this time? I thought I made it clear to those infidels-"

"No, Your Holiness. Lumì has not sent another ambassador. This request is from..." The priestess stopped, making sure she read it right. "...the Union of Crabs?"

"What?!" Melisandre laughed almost mockingly. "Absolutely not! Why would Northwall want an alliance with that backwater nation of drunken God-less freebooters? Honestly! I'm half-tempted to hammer the fear of Granus into those fools for even thinking about it!"

At that moment, another advisor entered the room. She had long black hair, red eyes, and a navy-blue muffler wrapped around her neck. There was something cold, something... unholy about her presence, yet Melisandre didn't seem to mind at all, strangely enough.

"If I may interrupt, Lord Melisandre, perhaps you should not be so hasty in turning down their alliance..."

"I agree with her, Your Holiness. Their terms are certainly quite generous, despite their being such a small country." The priestess read a fragment from the end. "Take this clause at the bottom, for example: 'Should ye accept our humble request, we will supply ye with however many young, strong and booze-free men ye wish after the war is over. -Bjorn Bortigard'"

"Touché... Doing this may be against our Lord's commandments, but Northwall has been suffering a severe decay in population lately... and the lack of adequate male suitors has made the crisis even worse..." Melisandre pondered for a minute. 'This is so wrong...' she thought. "Very well, then. Send an envoy to Captain Bortigard telling him that we accept his agreement, but make it clear we want a 'down payment'... Heh heh heh."

"Maybe now I won't be so lonely at night..." she thought, and smiled.

"Supreme Commander Zaroff, this is-"

"That's Supreme Commander Zaroff the Magnificent to you, Ms. Smith."

"Right. Sorry. Anyway, I've just witnessed an alliance being formed between The Union of Crabs and Northwall."

"What? Those self-righteous zealots are forming an alliance with those damned pirates?"

"Correct, Sir. Northwall's envoy has just left to seal the deal. Our spies in The Union report that Bjorn was desperate for an alliance. They've also sent reports on the poor training in The Union. Their forces are hardly prepared for battle.
Anyway, I can't stay here for long. Agent Smith out."

Agent Smith ends her radio transmission. a few minutes later, another radio transmission comes in.

"Agent Tod reporting, Supreme Commander."

"Speak, Mr. Tod."

"I have intercepted a message between Shirakawa and The Confederate Republic of Dixie. It looks like Shirakawa is trying to form an alliance."

"Unbelievable. This is the Great War all over again..."

"That's not all, Sir, it seems that our reports on the rebel forces in Shirakawa are-"

An explosion is heard and the radio transmission is cut.

"Mr. Tod? Mr. Tod, what was that? ...Damn!"

Zaroff opens a radio transmission with Captain Mürrisch.

"Captain! Send an alliance request to The Union of Crabs immediately!"

"What? Why would we ally with them?"

"Our fears about Shirakawa and the Great War have been confirmed. If we don't form an alliance soon, we'll be obliterated.
Now, I've heard reports on the poor condition that The Union's soldiers are in. Tell them that we'll help in any way we can to improve their military forces.
They aren't exactly the ideal ally, but they're all we can get. Besides, you know the Union better than any of us."

"Argh... Right away, Sir."

Zaroff closes his radio transmission as Captain Mürrisch grumbles to himself for a few seconds before contacting The Union of Crabs.

Seeing how alliances are being made left and right, could someone from each alliance please tell me exactly who is in what alliance? Alliance names can come later, I just need basic information so I can update the table in the first post.

The leader of Optimum and the SFA leave the capital and head to the small island just outside of the country. There, they will meet with the general.

Crustum: "General Mint, tensions between Confederate Republic of Dixie and Shirakawa are becoming worse!"
General : "Don't panic, we'll just send an alliance request and ambassador to Northwall."
Crustum: "Seeing as how things are going, how many ships do we have in case of an attack?"
General : "A decent amount."
Crustum: "Well then, setup a fleet just around our northern border, should things get nasty."
General : "Yes, sir."
SFA : "What about the Union of Crabs?"
Crustum: "Leave that to me..."

The director leaves back to the capital, to once again ponder.

Alliance request sent to Northwall.

"President Rebel! The new intel. reports are in!"

Rebel spins around in his swivel chair and faces private Alexander, his personal aide.

"Let me see them. Anything pertaining the Shirakawan's moon activities? It's been a coons age since we've heard anything along those lines..."

"None sir, but there's something much more urgent."

Alexander directs the President's attention to a dark red folder.

"There sir! In the red! You must read this!"

Rebel glances through the files as if looking only at those strings of text in bold and ignoring the rest. He then looks back up with a look of great surprise or sudden hilarity.

"Well... If that don't take the cake for today's most random turn of events... A revolt in the Shirakawan Empire... Hehehe... Who'dathunk..."

"It came as a surprise to me too sir."

"Now... Uhhh... Alexander... I have quite a task for you. Yes, I know you'd be expecting me to issue some sort of plan based on this new data, but, as of right now, I've more important things to discuss. I've had a lot of thinkin' to do, Alexander. I reckon we can't win this war with the alliances we've issued. I think we're going to need to ask for the help of Northwall."

"HAHAHAHA! Femland! Now seriously sir, I know I may be lookin' tense standin' here, and being the good gentleman you are, would like to lighten the mood, but--"

"I wasn't joking..."

"You... weren't?..."

"No sir. Look... Many times in the past we've refused to ever consider an alliance with them Northwalls. We based these rulings on our own belief that women cannot and should never take the place of men as the ruler/breadwinner/master, what have you... But now that I've thought about it... When you boil it down, we both have a strong devotion to the Almighty. Hell, if it weren't for Him, we'd never never be here. Same for them, too. We both fought as hard as hell to have our rights. We're practically the same if you look at it..."

"Now sir... Pardon me for sayin' so, but I believe you're thinkin' into this a bit much..."

"That may very well be... But that doesn't remove the fact that we need alliances. So I ask you, Mr. Alexander, to send word to Northwall, asking for an alliance. I know their customs have shown they tend to take kindly to them abassadors, we can't spare any man at this time, let alone get him out of the country safely. Let them know that our current situation isn't as good as it should be and that we're are ever so sorry for not sending someone in person to make their aquaintance."

"Yes sir."

Alexander walks out of the Rebel's office and shuts the door firmly leaving a slight indication of frustration.

"Well... There goes a good hundred years of beliefs out the window..."

Rebel crumples up what seems to be an early draft requesting an alliance Northwall and tosses it into the fireplace.

"...Now, who was the one who gave Mr. Tod the incorrect report?"

Zaroff flips through a file of his Agrent's profiles.

"Ah, this one. Mr. Andrews. I remember you..."

Zaroff picks up the red phone on his desk and slowly dials a number.

"Mr. X? We seem to be having a problem with one of your agents...
Number 0568, Agent Andrews. He gave Mr. Tod a report on the alliance between Shirakawa and Dixie, something that I was waiting for...
Yes, It seems that there was no alliance planned between the two, and that Shirakawa actually joined Lumì's alliance...
That wasn't the only thing. He personally sent me a report on this "Pen" that he intercepted in a message between The Union and Lumì. A secret weapon of some kind, as his report said...
My point is that I doubt his skills as an agent, and I suspect that he may even be a double agent. I want him disposed of at once...
Thank you, Mr. X."

Zaroff hangs up and opens up his book.

"Hm... How could he have known that the ancient tomes predict that an alliance between those two nations would have started the end of the world?
Perhaps I should be a little more careful..."

(Hmm...this might prove interesting.)
It was called the Country of One Human for a reason, after all. Only one human resided there for keeps, and all other permanent residents were robotic in some way. Being in command of a robotic country has its perks, mainly that nobody will ever try to stab you in the back while you're in the bath. The bath...(I've spent too long in here.)
Monitors everywhere so he can always keep a tab on what's going on. In this case, he just now finished with a cleansing of the body while checking the frantic alliance reports that were going on. He had the alliance with Lumì he agreed to, which also linked to an Optimum country. There was also an alliance request from the Confederate Republic of Dixie that had to be considered. It was a bit old, so would the offer still be available? But at least time was considered. But problems existed as well. Northwall had already allied with the Union of Crabs, and both countries denied Lumì's request for an alliance. There was even the offered alliances going from Optimum to Northwall, and from Dixie as well. Through all of this, Shirakawa had not yet agreed to even one alliance...(This will be interesting indeed. Might not be good, but interesting to say the least.)

At this time the human is now dressed and in the mail room. What he saw disappointed him. "Secretary Eleven? What happened to Secretary Nine, another of those damned malfunctions?" There had been recent errors going around with all the robots that always ended with going offline. "Apologies, sir, but yes, Secretary Nine is sick. I will be taking the shifts until Nine is back into proper condition. May I help you at this time?"
"Yes indeed," the human said with a grin. At least Secretary Eleven knew how to go non-gender with the robots. And even to avoid saying the name? Lovely, maybe even a call for a free upgrade. "Here's what I'm doing. I have waited long enough to think about our current alliance offer, and I must say something by now. Load up vocals, I'm sending voice mail."
---------------------------
To: Confederate Republic of Dixie
From: Country of One Human
Topic: Reply about Alliance
"Greetings, Rebel. I, have taken time to think to think about the alliance offer that you have offered to my country, and here is my conclusion. The offer is indeed accepted, you will have your navel support. My robots are designed to resist water as much as any normal human, and my ships can be controlled from anywhere with very few crew. At the same time realize that you currently have an extended offer to a country that I suspect is unfriendly to one of my allies. Understand that as a safety precaution, I wish not to have an ally allied to an enemy, so if the alliance is accepted I will back down my offer. Consider this carefully, but not as a threat, instead as said precaution."
*End*
---------------------------
With the end of the seventh try, he seemed satisfied. "Got all that recorded?" ...a period of silence. "Eleven? Oh god dammit!"
Eleven was offline. At least the recording was still going, it would just need to be edited to remove everything past the cut point. The human had to ponder this for a while...why were the robots everywhere going offline like a disease? Normally viruses only infect organics, but if it happened to be created for robots..."I, Robot" comes to mind. "...shit. That better be fake."

As far as I can figure it out, here are the alliances: (In an alliance with more than two countries in it, everybody is allied with each other)
Alliance 1: Lumì, Country of One Human, Confederate Republic of Dixie (I don't recall seeing Dixie send the Country of One Human an alliance, but I'll take MM200's word for it)
Alliance 2: Lumì, Optimum (This is based on the assumption that an ally doesn't come with their allies as well)
Alliance 3: Northwall, Union of Crabs

Pending Alliances:
Alliance 4: Shirakawa, Lumì (I think it's pending because Shirakawa rejected the alliance request previously, so this would have to be a new one)
Alliance 5: Hisland, Union of Crabs
Alliance 6: Optimum, Northwall
Alliance 7: Dixie, Northwall

Any corrections are welcome.
