With the enemies dispatched, the four continue searching the floor...

Sukasa bumped into another Kuppa, which spun into him for 2 damage...

Kattwah noticed a small blue object in the corner of his square...maybe he should check it out?

William, making sure to check his square before blindly stepping on it, noticed a Gumba angrily patrolling it. The Gumba didn't seem to notice William, though...

Darkdata found a tasty Syrup on his square.

William noticed the strange enemy on the square, but seeing as how he had the advantage he wasted no time.

He felt energy flowing through his arm. As he sliced his sword forward it sort of let off orange sparks, signifying a superstrike at the foe.

OOC: So sorry about the lack of updates for the past week...I should have more time next week once this semester is over, so updates won't take so long.

More enemies were by now routine for the four explorers...

William's blade struck home, doing a full 7 damage and easily defeating the foe. 50 SP and 5 coins were his...

Kattwah's guess was correct: a small blue switch with a "!" symbol on it stood before him. Pressing it, three blocks appeared where there previously were none...

Sukasa let loose a burst of flame, scorching the Kuppa for 4 damage.

Darkdata bumped into yet another Gumba, which ran into him for 2 damage.


The Kuppa spun back into Sukasa, doing 3 more damage...

Tsukasa, rather miffed at the Kuppa, took aim with another fire attack, but seeing Kattwah's attack backed off and aimed at the Gumba attacking darkdata

With another round of enemies facing them, the four again set to dispatching them...

William checks out a square and finds a bright Yellow Coin on it! It's worth 10 regular coins and has an added side-effect: 1 HP restored when it's first picked up...not that William needed it, though.

Kattwah heard a satisfying THWACK as the Kuppa, struck for 6 critical-hit damage, flew out a window high above... He and Sukasa gained 49 SP and 4 coins each.

Darkdata's Ice blast did only 1 damage, but it froze the Gumba in solid ice...

...where Sukasa's Fire blast finished it off, doing 4 damage to KO it. He and Darkdata gained 27 SP and 2 coins each.

Suddenly, a large number of star points surrounded Sukasa, as he felt himself grow stronger...

HP increased by 2!
FP increased by 1!
Magic Attack increased by 1!

...

From somewhere up above, the four heard a rumbling noise...

and from the ceiling fell a bag containing 4 Mystery capsules! When it hit the floor, the bag split open, tossing its contents asunder....

Each of the four adventurers picked up one of the capsules.

Still looking for the staircase, but now with no enemies to hinder their progress, the four could search the floor as thoroughly as they needed.

William, unfortunately, didn't find anything of interest on his square...

Kattwah found a small vial of a strange liquid. On the side was a label...
"TastyTonic - Cures status ailments with one gulp! One serving enclosed."

Sukasa, searching his square, found that it also had a whole lot of nothing on it...

Darkdata found 10 coins on his square.
