For Story Forum activity, yes. The board splits did a number on the stories as a whole twice and they gave it one more shot on I3. Then that went under again. Kind of hard to keep going when you have to restart a story or resume with a few missing members every year or so.

Imagine what would have happened during the Board2 split if they decided to stick around there. All the stories would have to be restarted only months later instead of over a year and half the members would probably be split as to whether to go here or Board2, really stretching the Story Forum out thin.

I probably shouldn't be talking as I joined the SF activities late in I3 when the oldbies have been doing it since I1.

That's pretty much what killed me from the SF entirely on I1, actually...same with the group in total that I SFed with.

It was more towards the fact that Sofie distanced herself after I1's downfall, actually, but...

The splits in general were what killed things. No need to be specific as to what group, because it decimated all of them.

Well...the best thing that's worked so far is waiting it out. Board steadily grows every day and has the potential to get more activity as each day comes.

I'd wonder if people want certain forums back though...

It's almost tempting to open up Online Gaming again. At least then we could have decent threads for mega-gaming lists instead of them all being conglomoed into one.

If we were more in touch with Zophar like we used to be, I wouldn't have minded a General Emulation revival. It's just not as big as it used to be, though.

Emulation as a whole is pretty much all but dead, especially considering the relative ease of pirating games on new consoles.
