So in the next week or two at max I should have one of these brand new.

Does anyone else here get into riding motorcycles? Has anyone purchased one lately or do you have one right now?

I cannot wait I got my permit already for my motorcycle license.

Yeah most accidents happen from people messing around (Doing wheelies and indos for example.) I don't plan to be stupid on it, and this is the reason I got a 600 and not a 1000.

They're fun to just ride and sit back basically.

(edit: My dad was in a really bad bike accident in 1988. A van ran a stop sign and plowed into him, he's fine now but his ankle is still messed up.)

My dad crashed his motorcycle when he rode it drunk from a bar going back to base and tried to pass inbetween two cars. Then again, my dad's done some crazy shit.

I'd never be able to drive one. Hell, I can't even control one of those Razor Mini-Rocket/motorcycle things. I was going great for a good 5 seconds before losing control and getting sent down the road via sliding for about 6 feet or so.

It looked a whole lot worse than what it was, though. I only got some scratches here and there.

I've used racing bikes before, they aren't really all that slow--at least, crashing at 30 MPH is a possibility (you should see how fast they get going down a hill--I remember chasing a car with one)

I have a bad enough time controlling my bike right now. (Blame the "Cornered" remix of PW:AA on Cadenza...) I don't think I'll ever want to get on a motorcycle by myself. ;
