The existance of y contradicts the nonexistance of x! What is this? This is blasphemy! This is insane!
Unfortunately, due to the nonexistance of x contradicting the existance of y, I have no concrete idea what y is. Therefore, we must solve this problem.
My solution is very simple. We simply do stuff! That's right! With things! But don't run around screaming yet, because there's more! Or there would be, if the existance of more was unrelated to the existance of y, which is being contradicted by the nonexistance of x, which in turn makes the whole thing mind-numbingly nonexistant.
Another solution is to have a party. Haha, yeah right.
Complicated math formulas could work, but those things are so damn tricky. One wrong step and you suddenly, accidentally divide by zero. Boom.
Random guesswork is a neat idea. But if y is a banjo, what is x? A seventy-string laser powered harpsichord?
Dancing is a powerful force. We could all start dancing. However, dancing is only recommended in cases of data corruption.
We could play games. This, however, is not a good idea. For one, we need to pick a game. What game? There's too many. And we don't know which one will tell us what y is, and what x isn't!
Indeed, most of these solutions are the same as random guesswork, except more refined. In face, the only way to decide on one of these solutions is by random guess work or calculation. Calculation, as explained above, is very tricky and you do not want to prove that the universe equals zero by mistake. It would be very bad. Actually, it wouldn't be bad, but that's a matter of opinion.
Furthermore, what will we do when we find out what y is? What x is or isn't? If there truly is more? What then, genius? We could do one of the above. We could do something else. We could do nothing at all. We may as well just forget about the damn question!

...and that is how I somehow avoided boredom, if only for a few fleeting moments. Now I shall lay my head, and wonder... what if there is a z?
