It actually bounced up again before closing, leaving it at 8,466.64 (-112.55, -1.31%). Still not that great, but not the huge omgomgomg panic ONOZ that Hiryuu's post would leave you to believe.

(*Note: Hiryuu's post was made while it was still below 8,000, so I'm not faulting him. Just updating information)

Actually, it dipped below 8K twice and was up and down all day. It hasn't figured out where the floor is yet so it can rebound.

People are still saying this is some sort of a crash in what I'm reading (i.e. 20% of Dow's worth drops in just a short time).

Yes, it did, but it isn't moving anywhere now; it's closed for the day.

I know.

It was down almost 700 (in the first five minutes of trading) and up over 300 and end 128 down.

That's some strong volatility.

And after all this...a second stimulus package may be on the way.

The first one did us nothing as it was. :\

National Debt Clock ran out of digits...

Better news is that stocks are supposedly set to rally now after all that's happened this weekend. Might finally see a bounce back now after all of last week.

I thought I posted about that clock a while ago. Huh.

But yeah: 9,163.48 / +712.29 (8.43%)

So much for being under 8,000 like it was Friday

Obviously, Wall Street is full of idiots that panic at the drop of a hat. I really wish the world's economies didn't hinge so much on its current mood.

With the way things are swinging and this likely being 'the October surprise'...I'd wonder if this continues until Election Day.

Gas is, too. Remember when they threatened to end whatever it was and the prices dropped down sharply?

Gas is $2.65/gallon here.

Anyone beating that?

The lowest I've seen it this month is $3.06.

What state do you live in? That's surprisingly low.

Here in NM I’ve seen $2.85/gallon. But I don’t really drive, so…

It's still above $3.10 here, so I've noticed.
