Personally, I like Solar Winds, with 3 winds at 800 emitters each with 3200 particles each, points, particle size 5, speed 20, emitter speed 24, wind speed 21, motion blur 19. The effect is definitely mesmerizing.

It's not...impossible...just highly unpracticle. However, I do have friends that revive old OSs and their hardware. Maybe I can get something from them, but until then, it's not likely.
