What could this be? So I'm working on this really enthusiastically when I get the time. As of now, I've return to Gaia Heights (Crateria) to do some more of the rooms in there. Once I get a new tileset, I can begin work on the Norfair-like area, and once I hear back from another person modifying an existing tileset of theirs as per my request, I'll be able to tackle another area in the western half of Cyclonia. I've set up some progress meters at the bottom of my post so you can keep track of my progress as I work. Lastly, there's a slightly outdated beta from a couple weeks ago if you're interested. It's for a headered Super Metroid (JU) [!] rom, meaning 3073 KB. You can click this link to download it: http://forum.metroid2002.com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=7573.0;attach=5709 Not much else to say. I'll update this thread as I make progress. You'll get new screens every once in a while as well. Hope I've gotten a couple of you interested in my project and thank you. Progress meters: Gaia Heights: ~50% -- Map finished Cyclonia: 33% -- Map finished Therma: 0% Aquatic Rift: 0% Fifth Area (Name withheld): 0% Final Boss area (Name withheld): ~50% -- Map finished Current Bug Count: 0 -- Bug free for at least 5 days! ____________________ ![]() |

Going along with that philosophy, the walljumping is not even required to beat the game. I have plenty of platforms to jump on. That said, walljumping will help sometimes simply because it's faster to skip platforms sometimes. The hardest skills you'll need to know how to do are mid-air morphing and shinespark.
