Technically the issue is all the chemicals that get into humans.

You'd have to make sure it was pure enough and not contaminated with the general chemicals a human winds up touching...

Which may even require specialized 'milk women' :p

Most women will probably be aware of the age-old rumour that some mothers reputedly enjoy tucking into a nourishing meal of placenta after giving birth. Indeed it is commonplace for some cultures and, of course, many of our friends in the animal kingdom have always enjoyed it.

Yeah, this is not as weird as some things that people do.
