Seriously though, I just liked it being there. It was kind of a sense of long how I'd been here and how active I'd been in the community. I didn't care about it as a penis-waving thing, it was just nice to have there. Plus, that yellow dot was sexy.

I really couldn't care less about how many posts I have made, though it is good to reference, and I didn't care when it was (temporarily) removed that one time, but I'm not very fond of seeing a number that I know to be inaccurate with 40+ pages of my posts all labeled as "post 1 of 3".

It gets annoying to see inaccuracy, but the post count doesn't really matter

I tend to use postcounts as a meter to gauge how active I am over periods of time... doesn't quite matter what they are, really (the -750 or so doesn't bother me, so long as I know I'm active now...)

It's also a source of personal amusement whenever I hit an increment of 100 since I don't post much.

Some people actually like to eat there occasionally... the food isn't all that bad, really, especially not if you don't practically depend on it. (although there's that one guy who seems to somehow be able to resist any ill effects...)
