Linkinworm in that past faked up a ISO loader that was apparently being made by Waninkoko (Who later denied it being real), so he's not exactly trustworthy. However, TehSkeen seems to have posted a video claiming they have it.

However, I find it very interesting that he loads Wii Chess, because it is only 26MB, less than some WiiWare games. I would bet they are fitting it in RAM. So there may end up being a file size limit unless they are streaming from wireless to the PC, which I wouldn't see being very effective for an ISO loader.

We'll see where this all goes, but if it does happen and it's effective and works with anything, then I will be very dissapointed. The news will spread quickly and everyone with small technical knowledge will be able to accomplish it. At least with modchips the number of pirates decreases because of dificulty installing.

Edit: Alright something is wrong here. The Tehskeen video claiming to be from Waninkoko is a backup loader that loads burnt DVD's. The video Linkinworm is showing off is an ISO loader over WiFi from Waninkoko as well. Either Waninkoko is developing two seperate things or one of the two (Or both) are fake.

Send to Wii is easy enough... But the Wii, IIRC, uses 802.11b, does it not?

if Wii Chess is 26 MBytes, and that's what he sent the first time, then I call bullshit right here and now. No way a 26 MByte file transferred that fast over 802.11b, not even if you counted the time the Wii spent in the TUI screen.

It says in the topic that disks are being used I thought, not wifi.

Yeah, but from what I saw he sent a file from the PC to the Wii, and it transferred almost instantly, then he never put a disk back -into- the Wii before Wii Chess loaded.

TehSkeen.com has a video on their front page. The site is apparently offline due to a lot of traffic but they left the video there in place of a homepage.

I figure it's only a matter of time until Tehskeen gets the scoop on this; seeing as they actually have a video and have been known to break big things like this first.

Well, it's official. TehSkeen has just claimed this loader as real.

Here is the link.

If this is actually released and is actually real, part of me would want to run out to Best Buy or Future Shop right away and pick up a copy of Twilight Princess.

The other part of me would feel dirty for doing so and would also be thinking that Nintendo *WILL* patch this hole ASAP. They might be letting the homebrew stuff and VC/WiiWare pirating go, but something like this...

As an outsider to all this technological mumbo-jumbo, please clue me in.
What does this ISO Loader allow us to do?

Why does the audio seem really cobbled together in that video, but missing everywhere else?

Yeah, that's odd. I think I heard it skip around a bit, too, which makes little sense.

Well if you have your Wii modded to do homebrew (i.e. Twilight Hack), you could theoretically run a *cough*BACKUP*cough* of a game on the Wii. No modchip necessary.

Yea, what he said
Basically a cheaper alternative to a modchip.

I hope this is for real... And that it would be published soon.

Even though you didn't say it was fake, it still answers the first part of the question. No word on when it'll be published.

The shuffling around in the rumor mill says it's going to be released in 2-3 weeks. To be fair and to take that rumor a little seriously, it was stated by one of the main beta testers. I'm saying 4-6 weeks just because that's how these things usually end up working out. Hopefully Nintendo doesn't catch on before then, even more so hopefully they don't go all PSP on everyone.

Well if a new firmware update's released with another "slight Mii update", you know why.

Then again, when Nintendo fixed the Twilight Hack, it didn't take long at all to get that sorted out...

It appears the skippy audio is because of his video editing. You'll notice the audio only jumps a bit just before his little banner fades in and just after it fades out. He could have also removed the audio from the menu portion to conserve on size since it's not necessary to prove his point.
