Ever have a small fixable thing happen that makes you think your internet went out inexplicably? I just had. I was nearly crying when I saw that I couldn't have any internet connection ran through. I said just the words in the title. @.@

Apparently my Ethernet plug was knocked loose. My Ethernet plug. Oy...

So like. When your internet goes out that isn't your first instinct to look at the plug? ;x I kinda figured that'd be the source of the problem 9 times out of 10.

The signature and the useless header text are staying.
----------------------------
You aren't addicted to the internet, you just find out it's superior.

Anyways... most of times these things happen, I don't know what caused them or how did they get fixed... they just do.

Usually they also happen when I'm doing something, so the "Noooooo" is more becouse of losing whatever I did.

Yeah, I had a similar problem once.

The net went out on me all of a sudden, so I headed to the kitchen to rectify the problem. I unplugged the router from the back, and reconnected it a few seconds later. The connection hadn't restored, so I became frustrated; I ended up fiddling with the router for a good few minutes, until I realized the adapter was unplugged by accident, according to my father. Ahahaha.

I spend most of my time in my room with wireless internet. My mom sometimes will tell my sister,"You wanna know how I can make him come out of his room?*Unplugs cable*"

Sometimes I go out right away to see what teh hell happened, but usually I am playing a non internet game and would get to it in 5-15 minutes.

Still a sick joke to play :x

The only time that happened to me was a while ago .

When my internet stopped working, I tried a lot of things. I checked anything related to the connection, the cables and modem, only to realize that it was a scheduled downtime on that day ... It came back five minutes after.

Moar like very telling of his responsibility and practical need for an internet connection. ;o It also didn't appear there was any arguing so winning or losing would be irrelivant.

Luckily, the network hardware I use is either A) at home, and therefore stuck behind a desk against the wall where it -never- gets knocked and I use wireless, or B) it's at University where the system is -always- up, and if it isn't it's easy enough to walk over to another building and try again.

I've actually got some dial-up backup in the event main internet goes out. I've had to use it a few times. Not good for downloading that big program installer, but just fine for City of Heroes and foruming.

I remember a while ago, my internet used to go out often, and I was worried that it would eventually stop working... Then, I found out that the problem was with the modem and not the router.

My internet went out for a couple of minutes during my Avatar watching spree while I was watching and I ended up waiting for a while just for the episode to finish loading.

the best thing about scheduled downtimes is you are NEVER told by the ISP that there is a scheduled downtime so you are running around trying to figure out what in the holy hell is wrong when the real problem is the ISP not telling you that there's a damn scheduled down time!
