Well, at this rate, they'll be up to 2 or 4 TB drives by then...

If I had that much storage, I'd have a harddrive full of useless crap. At least now, with only 80GB, I have to delete old, useless programs if the drive starts getting too full. With that though... laziness++; and messy_harddrive++;.

If you're running Crysis at 2560x1600 or whatever at 128X antialiasing you need to be shot anyways for your carbon footprint (if I cared enough to be an environmentalist) from your computer taking a gigantic shit every time it runs the program. :\

The mere fact that 1.3 kilowatt (or higher) power supplies exist indicates that something is very, very wrong with the PC market. My old, noisy air conditioner uses about 1/3 of that on its highest settings!

It's getting to the point where computers are going to need dedicated outlets, like ovens and clothes dryers...

Univac sized videocards requiring their own power supply... from a 3-phase outlet.

Ehhh...2 kW exist actually. You just aren't looking hard enough.

And yet, 250 watts is enough to power my computer which, as far as I can tell, is quite powerful. (It would have to be, given that it's designed for Vista. )

It's quiet, too, even with the fans on full speed.

You must not have a video card past integrated. 250W, anymore, is really weak.

A 450 is what I have on this and that's required for most vid cards and my RADEON X1550.

The video card is a GeForce 7650 GS connected to a PCI-e slot. Everything else is integrated, though.

I don't know too much about it since it's an LG computer sold only in Korea.

The PSU is probably juuuuuust powerful enough to run everything. That's not uncommon in pre-built computers. I've seen some crazy setups powered by sub-200W supplies!

Probably...it's probably barely in tolerance. Hell my -12V on my 450W is out of it but it still runs.
