Not sure whether to shrug it off as a tropical storm or a hurricane...

There's a chance this thing might go cat 1, at least. Anyone in Florida/Cuba might want to cover their ass, just in case. It'll be outside the panhandle, it seems, and going north up the coastline after that if it doesn't dissipate.

Ugh, it is missing the sids of the state that I'm on, but that won't stop me from getting endless rain and winds. I best start clearing the drainage areas...

There are a couple of hurricane warnings out for parts of Florida...the winds are just a hair under cat 1 it seems (~60MPH).

Looks nasty, for what I'm seeing.

Meh. I doubt it'll do anything major. Least around here.

Ahhh dunno...aside from the single-digit dead from the storm, there's also a supposed double-digit from one incident in Haiti that involves a bus...

People are gonna be dumb. May as well tell people anyways because some people need the practical advice. :\

Oh there may be an incident like that. Not saying there is never something like that.

But considering there was a storm here a few days ago that was really windy as well, I doubt this will cause issues around here.

An overloaded bus overturned while trying to drive across a river surging with rain from Tropical Storm Fay, sweeping passengers into the water, officials said.

Why would they even risk driving over it?

Weather forcast says that my area won't even get 38 mph winds. It will be dying before it even reaches close to here.

Link! Pretty radar.

School was closed down here, except for the colleges. The turnpike was fun to drive on going home. Most people were smart, others were either going WAY too slow or super fast. Visibility was crappy than usual but that's about it.

My dad & grandma are on the west coat of Fla. They don't know where it'll make landfall but it should be around 2am.

We should still see some nasties here around that time as well, but not as bad.

It should start to get a lil crazy by Noonish here. According to the latest track, it is going to go from the west side and run right over where I live on the east side. Joy.

New advisory since 5AM. Hurricane warnings dropped but, as Cirno said, it's heading towards the panhandle and probably straight into Georgia.

It goes much further, I'm going to be getting some slight backlash weather out of it in Arkansas...if it makes it that far.

I just like watching each new direction that they think Fay will take.

Work should be fun today. I got some strange ones yesterday and I bet today will be more of the same.

Now they're saying that the storm is going to stall up in the Lake Okeechobee and Orlando area. Which is good for the lake and this drought that we've been in for forever and a day, but bad for Orlando.

Does anyone know where this storm's headed?

I've read like...three different storm tracks for this thing. One's going back into the gulf and then LA...one goes right along the coastline...one goes right into fucking Iceland.

Fuckin' NOAA...

They closed school for two days for nothing!! And closed the Keys down (to tourists). Most of them came up here and business was good in the stores in my district. Its like they leave Key West, avoid Miami and then head up to where I am.

My dad was laughing at this storm when he called me this morning. It was suppose to hit close to his area, but it went north all of a sudden and missed him.

My bet, its going to come out the other side of Florida, make a u-turn and come back for more.
