Although, how can you screw up a quote?

The "fairly strict no-idiots policy" was probably from the Rom-hacking/Officer's Club forums mostly in the past incarnations.

On the subject of machead, I'm pretty sure he was going to get banned, but he left before it happened. In a way, he was "banned" for disregarding the community's taboo against idiotic behavior. On most forums, that kind of posting is anywhere between sub-par and above average.
That brings us back to my earlier statement. We are pretty strict when it comes to message boards, and, for that matter, the rest of the Internet.

Of course, I'm probably just thinking too hard about it.

We strive to make this place a fun place to post while at the same time prevent every post being an inside joke/meme/incoherent sentence. Trust me, this place is laid back enough to be enjoyable without going so far as to instate that the staff is holy and the users are weak and stupid while at the same time not doing anything and letting whom would be trolls and banned users continue to strive while the staff twiddles its thumbs and laughs at them for doing such things.

I've seen examples of both. I'm a member of a forum that does the latter as its way of functioning. If any of those members came over here I'm sure that 3/4ths of them would be banned instantly and re-banned for making multiple accounts. Not because we as staff hate them, but they would deteriorate the atmosphere of the board (which has been odd lately).

Sure, you've probably made some stupid posts. We all have made some stupid posts. Don't think too hard when posting. Just use common sense and it's fine. A few spelling errors or grammatical errors never hurt anyone, and neither does stating something that may be slightly wrong.

Also if there is an issue, ask about it or tell us! Don't think we ban if you question our actions or something. We aren't always right. NOBODY is always right.
