Seems double-edged...

They've been trying it for a while now with the whole energy concern being a problem but I dunno if it's really worth cutting my paycheck or someone else's for that one day...

Well, it's not really cutting the paycheck, as those hours that you would've worked on the fifth day is divided throughout the other days. Unless, of course, if there are no ten hour workdays being given, then it's totally cutting someone's paycheck.

That's what we're doing at my job (the ten hour a day, four day work weeks) Though, working ten hours is kinda rough. Well, it WOULD have been rough if it wasn't for the fact that I've got a totally casual office environment.

Though, it still irks me at times when I'm using Friday as my 'catch up with the world' day cause I didn't have enough time to catch up at the end of the other days..

I'm doing 45 hours a week right now myself, enjoying that cha-ching...

4 x 10 =/= 45 :\

I'm already there from 7 in the morning and get home at 5 (leave at 4:30) so that pretty much is 10 as it is. It wouldn't be a big hurdle for me but I wouldn't get as much cash since my overtime would be nipped in the bud.

Oh. Well, that's a different story. It'd help those who work normal 40 hour weeks, not those who're already doing overtime, which should normally deal with gas prices.

I shudder at the idea of working 12-13 hours a day on a normal basis.

I work a 4 day work week and it's night shift so I really feel like I have no life sometimes. I can't get anything done on the days that I work, and most of the time on my 3 days off I feel too tired to do anything fun. Although despite this I have still managed to do more this summer than I have in the past 3 summers so I guess I can't complain. Plus, this week I'm on vacation whoo hoo! It will be nice to rejoin the land of the living for a while.
