So I went back to play GH2 and (due to playing a lot of Rock Band) I noticed that I got better. Heh, on my second try I actually beat Freebird on hard. Now to tackle the expert mode. I still need to beat GH3 on hard.

Doubt I will get betting GH: Aerosmith, but I will be playing it. I'm going to hold out for GH4 and GH: Metallica. But with GH4, I'm just getting the game. I don't need another set of drums taking up space.

Eh, I've sorta gotten back into playing III. I've only got Easy left to do, but it's just

too

boring. There's not much left besides that... Unless someone on Wii is willing to be my co-op partner. Other than that, all I really ever do is replay songs I like and put off getting better ratings on songs I did badly on, which tend to be ones that I hate.

Bleh. GH3 on Hard was smooth sailing until the final set. Activision really screwed that up with this huge curve... Good luck with that.

I'm wiping dust from my guitar controller. Haven't been using it for sometime now, except occasional urges to play 3s & 7s on medium.

I should get back into playing III and work on finishing the rest of the songs on medium, though I should be rusty. Then again, those random moments where I played the demo display at work might save me >_>;;

Wow...the Guitar Hero on the DS is totally NOT worth it. I've played it and, well, yea, I'm not going to buy it. It just doesn't feel right and its a small selection of songs.

I saw the price and was like "Wow are you kidding me?"

Then the guy at Wal-Mart who was pulling it out for someone else said it had only 30 songs.

That was more of a disappointment. =\

Yeah, when my friends and I get together for some Rock Band, we cannot end the gaming session without playing that song once and of course reciting that entire SNL skit while playing it.

On a side note, I say its kinda dumb when these 2 games (Guitar Hero / Rock Band) have overlapping songs. I don't know ANYONE who doesn't have both games, so its just a waste of a track.

Another note, does anyone recommend getting GH Aerosmith? I have heard nothing but negative things about it. I'd hate to have to pass on any GH game, but if its that bad, I have many other games I'd save my money for.

Don't waste your money on it. Its good for one play though and that's about it. I say rent it if you can. It's not as bad as GH: 80's, but not worth the price tag either. I got tired of it after beating it.

You'd be surprised. Some people are so set on one series. I know someone that is so set on only Guitar Hero because Rock Band tries too hard to be real and Guitar Hero does not.

Well, then those people are missing out on a ton of great Rock Band songs. Even though I also prefer Guitar Hero's more wacky, less realistic style, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by ignoring Rock Band's tracks because of the game's more conventional style.

Although I, unfortunately, do the same thing with other games. For instance: even though the games have sold eleventy billion copies, and always garner 10/10's, I refuse to buy/play Final Fantasy games because I'm just stubborn like that.

That means you should stop judging by game titles and start going by gameplay, because I can tell you that just because it says Final Fantasy it doesn't mean it is the same thing all the time. The basics are there like with most genres but then it varies a lot between each game.

Same with GH/RB/RR, although Rock Revolution so far looks pathetic in comparison...

I enjoy Rock Band over Guitar Hero, but I'll still play both and I will be getting both games this fall. GH3 was just okay for me. I actually enjoy GH2 more than GH3.

..I was gonna say something about why I don't play FF games, but its best not to start this whole thing. I'll just say, If Mario and company ever make an appearance in a FF game, then I'll get it.

I too think I enjoyed GH2 more than 3. I am pretty sure I have logged on more hours on 2 than 3. GH3's bonus songs are just atrocious, (except Impulse) and unfortunately, I just haven't gotten around to buying space bucks to get those downloadable ones from XBox Live.

As per Logitech making Guitar Controllers, only good can come from this..i think. Not only does this increase competition to make better controllers overall, but also these guys definitely make quality stuff. I still have an old Logitech Dual Action PC controller that's lasted longer than my last PC/TV/Car. :p

So there's been a new GH game announced. It's a greatest hits game and it looks like you can use the guitar, drums and mic.

I just found more info on it here.
